.... After watching the 1st period of 4 nations and then switching to the Monsters game, the difference in game speed is hilarious. It was like watching the game in slow motion.
I have been to a decent share of Monsters and AHL games in general over the years. It's good hockey. But this year we went to a Youngstown USHL game and surprisingly I found the quality of the hockey way more entertaining...and didn't really notice a lack of pace like I do with the AHL.

I want to go to one of their games, but I keep forgetting about them. The arena looks like a good place to watch a game.

Lol, Monsters with 2 shots on goal in the 1st period lead Bellville 1-0. Make the shots count, I guess.

Monsters down 1-0 after 2 to Charlotte. Being outshot 33-10. We were joking with 7 1/2 minutes left in the 2nd, wondering if we would hit double digit shots before the end of the period. We had 9 at the time. Shot 10 we got with 50 seconds left in the period.

The offense has dried up. No one is doing anything. Charlotte got 3 more shots while I was typing this. Jet playing his ass off.

Monsters force OT with a shortie by Ahcan. 1-1.

Jet with 40 saves. Would be nice if they can get one for their goalies, who have been playing well.

Monsters keep up their torrid scoring pace losing 4-1. Wasting a 38 save performance by Sawchenko. Monsters really need to figure out how to score, and how to stay out of the box. Game deciding goal came down 2 guys. Not sure what is wrong with this team. Sometimes it feels like they are just going through the motions.

What’s happened to TFW?

I think he is getting frustrated. He's still getting points, eight in his last ten games, just not much help from anyone else.

The guys are having a hard time putting offensive pressure on teams. Some games they just don't get any shots on goal, and if they do, it seems it's one and done, hardly any offensive zone pressure. There isn't enough guys stepping up. Being down one goal feels like such a mountain to climb for this team right now.

I'm at the game in Toronto, holy heck the game is faster by the glass. I'm second row behind the Marlies goal. Things hit hard!

Monsters with a good start and some of that offensive pressure... Sadly Marlies go up 1-0 after we fail to convert on PP.

Monsters being physical. Butler, McCue, Malatesta with big hits already. Good opportunities too.

Nice win for the Monsters 4-2. First time in 5 games they were able to score more than one goal in regulation. Monsters 6-0 vs Marlies this year. Monsters 20-2-1-1 against Toronto in the last 5 seasons. Last loss came in November of 2022.

Greaves with 30 saves and an assist. Grimaldi with 2 goals.

Monsters get back to 3rd place with the win. Tough series at home coming up this weekend against Hershey.

Brindley’s statline looks unimpressive. Tough first season pro or has he been better than the stats suggest?
