Amazing! It was everything we expected it to be. If Flowers is healthy maybe Baltimore wins. The post showing the Ravens as the top defence since Week 11 should shed some light on the Bills offensive struggles. I don't think the Bills reach field goal range if Andrews catches the ball. Maybe in better weather, maybe against most other teams in the league, but not the way the game had gone so far tonight.

People around me said Hamilton was the injured Raven late in the drive but I don’t know if he returned or could have returned if Andrews caught the ball. Josh Allen is amazing so maybe he figures it out when it’s needed most. If I had to place a wager I’m still betting on OT but thankfully we’ll never know how that scenario would have played out.

Or...

Bills could have converted and now you're not in butt clenching mode when Jackson leads that drive down the field.

There's a very solid chance the Bills could have scored a TD there if they went for it. I think it's being dismissed too easily in this (moot) discussion.
I think the accumulated probability of the field goal + chain of events was better than going for it. One of the rare times the conservative play makes sense.

I really thought after the first half. Joe Brady got conservative and took the ball out if Joshs hands. I get it.

And going into the wind took a certain float and touch on the ball that actually favored Lamar and not Josh.

I get the clock I even get the first three and out. OUR FUHGIN D saved the day or the series of the year so far. Stopped on first ( my memory may jumble ) Great karmic fumble by Lamar w all holding and illegal picks and bs uncalled all game, while calling holding on a DOMINATE abusive violent great move by DION DAWKINS WHO SHOULD get a game nearly every week this year. I'm getting ski goggles. Need em anyway

DION rules. .... The line and Dion say ( Google Darpa facehell lifelog turned ... the book of the dead not life Facebook , I'm typing in Amazon county , they bought all land 82 gunnery near a sunken neighborhood ( anyone w ground radar. I'll show you a world you won't believe ) They bought for 66.6 million. Rounded down do as not to.. whatever who cares) Before yes w yesr before and even delayed a year w AWS. .. nevermind. Find it, I'm so in love w people protecting and looking out for each other. Even if I Despise RFK Jr. He is helping food not be added or poisoned even if bs and laughing at us WE KNOW TO EAT WELL LESS INFLAMMATION and Parasites.

Thank you for that band thank you Trump whose a great actur for chloroquine and ivermectin. My personal favorite cured my colon ' C ' made my hair fall out and I'm fine now no toxic he'll Albendazole ,

Love you guys Team you made a mom and Pop City HAPPY ONE MORE WEEK as fires poor people, we know ( love Robert Brame forensic arborist odysee) burn homes not trees.

Tragic and heartbreaking but not used like Katrina , LA lost. Great game saquon Barkley Eat that narrative let's play sports and separate Life politics from teal horror especially since we all don't know whats going on I say these out of Love fur everyone here as redemption and Honor for each of us can still start tomorrow. I did by saying I was egotistical passive agressive baby we laughed and in different cities watched this Great moment in Buffalo sports history as a United city watching coaching staff Josh the restrictor plated super hero WIN

Was the best and most important call of his career.

Everybody loves this unrelenting aggression on 4th down and McD shows a ton of it, arguably the second most after Dan Campbell. There’s also the common sense inclination that you let your best player win the game.

But the strategy of this game comes down to probability even when it’s boring. Make your opponent be perfect. You go up by 8 points, make them score the TD AND the 2 point conversion AND stop your final drive afterward. Worst case scenario you take it to OT and accept your 50/50 odds there.

It’s like making a big fold at a poker tournament with your two pair on a board with straights and flushes possible. Not fun, but right.

He made that decision with an entire city, many of whom hate him, watching over his shoulder. Well done, coach.

Lamar throwing down field outplayed Josh today but Josh outplayed Lamar by a mile first half. If Bills DON'T PLAY PREVENT OFFENSE first two three series ( I understand the wind snow in face and it failed three times holding Amari and rough throw first and two there rough throws but Josh stretched box opening up for COOK Kincaid andKnix unsung rough throw to Mr unsung Mack blocking machine

Yes Balt held on line and receivers all game w beautiful illegal picks I thought a basketball ball game broke out. Lamar was masterful finding those guys however they freed and Josh thtew such beautiful short screens passes quuvk Siants perfectly placed. Eating clock w a PERFECT FIRST HALF.

JOE. , You are awesome you called a perfect final drive w clock and design it turns out was enough to win.

Can You just let Josh scramble drill to ease the box that tightened as we had them standing on their necks w ball in first drive second half and second drive second half and I thought I was watching the SABRES play the avalanche. Free Josh. We had them Dead.

I hope you say f%ck it against KC and play less stomach acid clock chess and let JOSH ALLEN ,Win it or lose it like Detroit game like LA game that Josh scores and refs blow call STILL three time out.

I fn loved the execution Time MGMT perfection of a MASTERPIECE first half but do the opposite JOE , please let Josh Run throw it every where and Make the KILL EARLY

ON D my favorite call was Rush Ravens left overloaded flush Lamar like a gift for Milano

It YOUSE GUY'S keep the foot in the gas and try to score 40 at KC if we're blessed fook I'll use the word to play such a great first half . Make sure Josh Mr accuracy leading his receivers short , gets a few deep quick score's. Any D we play KC Philly or Josh Jr commanders Let Josh win it or lose it TAKE HITS AFTER completing deep stretch that D and KILL JC not wound.

Thank you gentleman From Beane and MCD the architects to Terry and family sitting back and trusting and helping the Right People

Babich and Brady if they go get it can beat anyone especially kc at home just play aggressive and Velcro two guy's to pick off anything to a Great right end I watched that game they should have lost despite ( nevermind I'll shut up after two stolen games)

Drive the knife in for the first three quarters and drive and twist some More. Ruin all scripts narratives so Josh finally holds two trophies he's deserved ( his stats are eye gouging in Post season ). Take it so much you get Josh and O beating KC to tapout

Leave nothing Left ride barely on the rails. I'm saying this because I'm so in awe of everyone I hear talking in interviews micd up. It's impossible not to be proud of all of you in this fight bigger than football. Shouldn't be You All made the LIVES OF BUFFALONIANS SO MUCH BETTER , for another week

Heart of gold band , the Buffalo Bills in NFL football Thank You for Last two weeks have fun. F it Win or lose. It's been a privilege each week so far.

I wouldn't want to be Kansas City w you guys coming in

Hooo buddy, it's gonna be a long week.
We all need to have fun. 1st and 30 club . Hold our guys and give us yr worst NYC. These men on the field and throughout the building can take it all foreach other and buffalo everywhere

I'm not a super expressive but I was hitting the table and shouting "yes! smart choice!" with Ty Johnson's run and slide. My boy was asking what happened as he doesn't understand the game past a basic point and it's hard to explain why that was good haha.

I'm enjoying a Bills win over the team I think was their biggest threat. It doesn't mean they're a shoo in for the rest of the games, but this was a big mountain to get over and I'm excited that they did.
Yes! Wooo

What a season for a team taking the dead cap hit for a retooling year.
True as well. W all the hung go kids buffalo joe hitting it on special teams , how many on this team played significant minutes. Wow

Bass came through big time.
Just win baby!
I Love sticking w the people you care for and then watching this Man fight to be who he always was

This game was VERY interesting.

Very low event, clean (no turnovers), no downfield passes for the Bill's and it worked in the end.
Cooper seems to be a just role player now.

I'm still of the opinion this morning, they played it too tight in the 2nd half and not to loose.

I agree with this. They should have come out and stepped on throats. It's a McDermott flaw.

Two biggest adjustments I'd like to see from the offense next week:
-Develop some type of counter off all the WR screens--could be a fake screen/go route, or run a fake screen to one side, then throw it the other way on a quick slant/dart route. Either way, it's just becoming too obvious of a Bills play to try and beat pressure or cover zero.
-Run PA from under center on first down to try and get some intermediate chunk plays and punish KC for run blitzing. Could also get some nice RAC yardage from the RBs if they're playing everyone deep and Allen takes the checkdown quickly and Cook/Davis/Johnson have open space in front of them. Or Allen rolls out to try and hit the long ball off schedule or takes off for positive yardage.

I think there are some hard truths to be had:

- The reason Josh Allen should be the MVP is we AREN'T as skilled as other teams. Despite of a less than talented WR group and what is a slightly above average defense, we won 13 games and 2 playoff games and are still alive. We had the second highest scoring offense. That is because of Allen and the offensive line/run game.
- In terms of pure talent, Philadelphia is the most talented team left. Their 'weakest' link is at QB, and he's still a top 10 QB. And their coaching is questionable.
- KC has a better defense than us. And than Baltimore. They are healthy. And the game is in KC. This is going to be the toughest game of the year.
- As much as we did enough to win last night (and I do think with two time outs and 1:33 left, there was a good chance we still win the game even if they make the two point conversion), Baltimore's mistakes were the difference.

It's Allens time to shine. It's hard, even in a good year, to get to the AFCG. How far we go from here is going to depend on Allen. He needs to be an unstoppable menace for 60 minutes. This is a legacy game against an elite, rested defense. And on top of Allen, we need the rest of the team to be their very best.

For the Bills to beat KC, here’s what needs to happen:

- Coaches need to be elite. Everything is on film, and they played once. Guys like Reid and Spagnuolo have shown repeatedly that they can come up with great game plans late in the year in a second meeting. Bills need that right now.

- Another no turnover game where the Bills dominate time of possession. If the can’t run, throw short. It need to be a old school Brady-Pats game on offense.

- Be as penalty free as you can be. Refs won’t be on their side so limit the damage.

- In line with point number 1, have some things in the game plan to take away what
Mahomes and the Chiefs do well on offense, and get an early lead. The Chiefs will adjust well, so having a buffer going into the second half is a must.

Now that this game is a reality ... I'm feeling far less confident. Not sure if that's because of how the second half went yesterday. I worry that our receivers (namely Coleman and Cooper) aren't difference makers in this offense. Cooper made a couple huge catches along the sideline against them in the last matchup, but not sure how sustainable plays like that are. Allen had to be picture perfect on them.

We need to have plays drawn up as "pressure plays" as you know KC is going to bring a ton of blitzes and rely on their coverage holding up, especially with their defense fully healthy. I'd have Ty Johnson out there a lot in this game as an outlet.

They need to somehow get a few deep to mid throws in early in this game to loosen things up. Yesterday felt like Baltimore condensed the field on us and we had almost nothing open. We need to stop forcing the 1st down run up the middle. I'd prefer to see short passing game on early downs. You can't get into a consistent battle of 3rd and 7 to 10 against KC, they'll make it miserable.

It feels like whatever we did last time will likely get taken away. The run game was largely ineffective last game, outside of Allen's legs. KC will likely come out passing too, as they have always done against us in the playoffs. They'll be able to move the ball, so we'll need to try and keep up and not play too conservative.

On the Bill's punt drives...

1stQ phantom holding call. It would have been 3rd and 3 from BAL 38 without call as nd thry likely g err t points

3rdQ kincaid drop on 2nd down

3rdQ knox scrern pass that failed

It’s a gamble in some ways. Throw long and try to loosen up the defense, and you risk going 3 and out. Run early and risk KC stuffing it early and forcing 3rd and long. Pass short early and it might lead to abandoning the run it’d it’s not successful.

The trick is Brady needs to keep it simple (nothing cute) but effective while being a little unpredictable. That’s hard to do, which is why my earlier point number 1 was the coaches needed to be elite.

I was screaming at the TV to kick the FG and get the 8 point lead.

And the failure to convert the earlier 2 point conversion was a big part of the thinking for me.

The weather might be a little more conducive to the passing game in KC...

I really wish I could get 100% on the Bills Bandwagon but can't ignore the awful truth:

Sabres -> Whalers

Bills -> UCONN Basketball

And the idea of Pegula being celebrated forever would shatter my soul in the same way seeing Peter The Pig getting his grubby paws on the Stanley Cup.

This upcoming game isn’t just business as usual. It’s now one of historical significance.

Only 3 teams ever have made it to the Chief's current position.

76' Steelers. 90' 49ers. 94' Cowboys.

Steelers and Cowboys both played their championship round on the road and lost soundly.

That leaves the 90' 49ers (my favorite team ever, 87-90 9ers), who were at home vs the Giants. It took Joe Montana’s 49er career getting ended and Parcells/Belichick mastery to win 15-13 at the gun.

What I’m saying is, if Sean McDermott does this, it’ll be historical, and create a new legacy for him. If he doesn’t, the Chiefs will now rule history, and I'll continue to ask, if not now, when, with McDermott.

Massive moment in history.

Whatever they do, don't let Kelsey stand out there uncovered. For God's sake, learn that lesson.
Andrews had a couple of big catches. So they need to adjust as Kelce matchup is the same. KC isn’t going deep to their WR. Worthy is a speedster but hasn’t developed the route running needed to get open deep in the nfl. More of a YAC guy right now using his speed than a vertical threat.

With Mahomes and late hits/roufhing. Can’t do much when he’s in the pocket. Try to keep your hands down and out your helmet to the side when you hit him if you can. Outside the pocket and past the LOS, don’t aim for kill shot. Go low for his legs.

And if he tries that flop by the sidelines move again, where he slows down to an almost stop before the sidelines, hoping you belt him, try to bear hug him and hold onto him as you carry him out of bounds. Don't let go and don't let him hit the ground. Natural instinct is to crush him, but he's going to flop again and might end up drawing the flag. Houston game, the ref didn't fall for it as he was still in bounds when contact was made.
