It is quite ridiculous when you think of it. The CBC which is a public broadcaster never went cheap on the intros. They didn't seem to care about the price and used any song as long as it made for a good intro.

Then there is Rogers who spent a millions of dollars of a set but yet won't pay royalties for decent songs. Instead we get generic music with a movie trailer voice over.

Rogers says they want the intros to "tell a story" yet they fired the one guy who could actually make that happen.

Definitely blew the budget on that ridiculous set.

I didn't mind SNET presentation this year at all. Actually thought they did a better job than CBC. But these playoffs have been a let down. From having to switch channels for pre game and then switch to the game, intros suck. The commentators are meh. Why can't we get Bob Cole? I know he ****s up names but his voice and emotion is awesome. It doesn't feel the same any more
