Some in SchennAny interest in Schenn, Burroughs, Poolman, Hamonic?
How about Burroughs? He's a youngish physical #5-6 rd and really cheap for this year and next. Price wouldn't be too high. Some in Schenn
Pretty indifferent. As I said originally, I would want a player that could fill in for Tanev/Andersson if either were to go down. We already have Stone as a 3rd pair RD and Valimaki who can fill anywhere on the left side. So basically what I would be looking is someone like Valimaki but not necessarily still a "prospect." Hence my interest in StecherHow about Burroughs? He's a youngish physical #5-6 rd and really cheap for this year and next. Price wouldn't be too high.
Depends on the market, Stecher is pretty far down the list of available dmen at the deadline. And we wouldn't be acquiring him to play games outside of an injury. I would probably offer a 4th at max. If Detroit gets a better offer somewhere else then they should take itStecher for a 3rd?
Parise of interest assuming he’s interested in going to Calgary? Makes league minimum, decent PKer and solid bottom 6 guy with quite a bit of experience.
Parise is a bit cheaper car wise without retention. I could see either moved for picks, maybe with a minor leaguer or b/c tier prospect if a bidding war happens between teams. Both Parise and Clutterbuck would interest me.
Great vets for a playoff run
Calgary's lack of centre depth is overstated:
Lindholm
Monahan/Backlund
Ruzicka
Obviously it would be better to upgrade at #2, but how is that realistically going to happen? That's like saying wouldn't it be great if the Flames acquired Kucherov, and didn't have to worry about cap or asset costs.
Perhaps, but I'd definitely move Drouin for Monahan. Centers are hard to acquire, and Drouin is likely gone pretty soon anyways.Probably not but they both have no value
Chiarot would be a healthy scratch so no he is not worth paying 2 2nds to get at all. Also Calgary is reportedly out on Chiarot (thank god)Chiarot was apparently of interest to the Flames in the Toffoli deal, and once healthy could still be an option.
At 50% retained and with a 7th rounder, he'd cost either 2 2nd rounders or a 2nd and pretty good prospect.
Can't see why the Flames would have interest in Chariot. They don't need a guy who can play 20+ minutes. The top four is set. They also already have zadarov and Gudbranson in their bottom pair, doing everything that Chariot would do.Chiarot was apparently of interest to the Flames in the Toffoli deal, and once healthy could still be an option.
