Long Term Injured Reserve (LTIR) - High Level OverviewIs LTIR 10 games and 24 days or
10 games OR 24 games?
To qualify for LTIR, a player must be expected to miss at least 10 NHL Games AND 24 days of the NHL season

LTIR longer than 10 games or 24 days.
Only 9 games until the 24 day mark. If he was diagnosed to miss 2-4 weeks, likely 3+, then putting him on LTIR saves them cap space for the end of the year to make moves. Hopefully thats the case and its not something really bad
you guys are on some serious copium if you think it’s the minimum. we’ll be lucky if he’s back before the new year.
Because we probably dont make the playoffs thenWhy not hold him out until the start of the playoffs and use the extra 9M to bring in some extra bodies?

HF docs in here for the win
Yeah I’d like to get an official announcement from the team than guess how bad the injury was. Hopefully tomorrow, we get an official time table from the team.
All we do know is he is out at least 10 games or 24 days.

No penalty, Aho doesn’t have to answer the bell, and our best player is out a month. Now when a Ranger breaks Aho’s ankle next time they play, no one should be surprised. I bet Brind’Amour will complain about that when it happens too.

Trouba needs to decapitate him (cleanly) next game. Period.
And if he refuses to fight, just beat the f*** out of him.
Aho doesn't get to be a p***y and get away with it.
You make him pay.

This seems logical. I read somewhere it was an MCL sprain, 3-4 weeks, something like that. I think we see him again Nov 29.Jibes with a ligament sprain. Depends on how bad it was sprained or course, but expecting it to be closer to 4 weeks as you want to ensure full healing to prevent further knee injury, both to the ligament already injured or other ligaments/muscles due to compensation
*golf clap* that’s allAre you saying that we need to smack A-ho?

Laff was a little. But he shouldn't be the guy.The Rangers won’t do anything and we all know it. State of the sport. Very disappointing nothing was done last night.
