The Rangers are an absolute dumpster fire but Fantilli is going to be a stud. I thought that of him when he first broke into the league. It must be nice to draft a forward in the first round that is an impact player immediately.

Not yet overall, but it's a reminder that you can't teach size. I would not be the least bit surprised if Adam has a better career when all is said and done.

He's been every single bit of a 1C since the Monahan injury. Haven't seen every game, but the production speaks for itself.

Points aside not really. His linemates were scoring more when they had Monahan, and they went from being the best possession line in the league to being very middling in that regard.

What's striking to me though is that he's improving a lot of that. He still has too many one and done rushes that waste his linemates but he's getting a lot better in recent weeks at cycling, working down low and around the net. This is a player that is just beginning to understand how to play in this league and he's already scoring at a point per game pace (as a top liner) simply by unstoppable talent with the puck.

Hopefully we can add Mateychuk to that sooner than later.

Blue Jackets have collected too much young talent to be terrible forever. But this season from them has been a nice surprise.

I expect a breakout season next year. They're reaching the tipping point of being a good team.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he broke out next season to 40 goals and PPG+, some really good talent emerging on this team.

Since the new year his line has been 24-11-12-23 (+12)

Leo Carlsson form the same draft has been PPG in his last 12 games as well.

That 23 draft has some players who are going to start to emerge really soon here.
