Abbotsford Canucks Thread | Prospects Starting to Heat Up

Kudryavstev - my favorite player on this team. So smart all the time and so consistent all the time. Is very good at reading the play and seeing what to do. Skill level is very high. Has good shot but if it ever gets that to the next level could be a good offensive player at any level. Has great stick around the net defensively. Size the only question but he plays like a vet.
How does he look playing his off side?

I hope we don't trade Kudryavstev for forward help. His development has been phenomenal.
agree i doubt we get value considering his draft position. He's on a nice trajectory and looked fantastic at camp. The Orlov vibes are real don't sell cheap

Joe Arntsen:

21, 6'3". 215 lbs.
He's a call-up from Kalamazoo. Undrafted lefty D. Former captain of the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

ECHL stats in his first pro season:

43: 5/11/16 +5

Perhaps the +5 looks good, what with Kalamazoo being a bad team. His 16 points leads all K-Wings defensemen, but he was never a point producer in the WHL.

Abby Canucks with a lackluster 4-1 loss against the worst team in the Pacific, San Diego.

Some of the guys like Di Guiseppe, Aman and Mancini who were sent down during the Four Nations break, look like they should have been sent out on holidays.

Reasonably strong games from Lekkerimaki Karlsson and Raty at times. And Kudryavtsev continues to impress on the blueline. But that's about it. A slow night for the fans who showed up at the ACC.

Thought Arnsten didn't even look like he belonged at the prospects tournament

How the hell is he in the lineup over:
Pettersson
Felton
Brisebois
Hirose
Ahac
Ahac moved to the Czech league a month ago. None of Pettersson, Brisebois, Felton took warmups; they're likely all nicked or ill, I know Pettersson left during the third period of yesterday's game. Hirose's a spare part with no future here so they decided to give Arnsten a look.

Agree with your assessment

Lekkermaki looks like he can help Vancouver.

Don't know why we are playing Stevens (4 goals in 44 games) over a younger player like Glover. Glover provides, at least, some energy. Thought Neilsen and Wouters were poor as well.

Kudryavtsev played on the top pair with Mancini and in my opinion was the better of the duo. Aside from two muffed clearances from his own zone Kudryavtsev played a strong game.

Lekkerimaki is a true goal scorer. Wrist shots, slap shots, quick hands near the net... he can score in a variety of ways. Smart player, just needs a little more time to develop some other aspects; a little too often the game ends with him notching a goal but not really imposing himself a whole lot otherwise. Hopefully with a good summer of training he can be truly ready for the NHL come October. He's still five months shy of his 21st birthday and when he was drafted it was noted that he'd probably need some time to develop physically.

DPetey didn't dress! (Joe Arntsen (?) in his place)

Tolopilo is in net. One goal on four shots so far.

Call up Young.
I just saw the highlights. First one maybe he should have had. It was a nice shot. The 3 on 1 was not his fault. Goal 3 yeah his movement and rebound was not very good.
