They're underway in Calgary. It looks like Lekkerimaki is not in the line-up.

Silovs is in the net. Pettersson and Friedman were the starting d-pair.

That makes sense. If both can keep this up, the team may get to the point where they can reasonably bank on one of Kudryatsev or Pettersson to be ready for the NHL next training camp, which would open up their roster construction flexibility tremendously.

I really wonder if they are willing to roster two rookie defencemen (Kudryavtsev & Willander) next season. Teams have been extremely reticent to do so in the past.

Just like the big club, team is addicted to flipping the puck in even when there are options to enter o-zone with possession. An organizational deficiency.

It's surprising how often Manny deploys Kudryavtsev on the wrong side considering how vastly superior he is on his strong side.

Still scoreless.
Watching this two periods just makes me so sad about the teams prospect pool outside of Willander and Lekkerimaki 🥴

Did Tocchet break Raty? He is playing like a wannabe goon now a days.

Sammy Blais deflects a Kudryavtsev pp wrister from the point (strong side) for the ice breaker.

1-0 late second period.

I can't spell his name, but the kid who didn't want to sign with us takes it strongly to the net and Rory Kerins puts the rebound by Arty.

1-1

Kudryavtsev actually looks quite impressive at times when he's playting the left side. Pettersson and McWard have some promise as well imho.
KK has moved the puck well in this game. In most games he moves the puck well. Really hope some of these guys can take the next step to be everyday NHLers. I'm a little disappointed that Bains and Raty have sputtered.

Funny that in Nick's model it has D-Petey,KK, McWard in a row in that order all with around 15% chance of being an NHLer

The frequent call ups seem to have messed with Raty and Bains a little.
