Glover would've had another great scoring chance on the next shift but he didn't control the puck.

Nielsen almost tied it; puck just dribbled wide off of the goalie. Aman chopped down shortly afterwards; Abby to the PP but didn't capitalize. Second period ends with San Jose clinging to a one-goal lead as our heroes really took over in the last 10 minutes.

The top-six forwards need to start doing something. Klimovich and Lekkerimaki, especially, were not good at all through the first 40 minutes; too many sloppy puck plays from the former while the latter barely made any impression whatsoever. Nielsen has not been very good for most of the season.

Bains misses another good scoring chance early in the third, set up nicely for the second time this game by Felton.

Not to my klnowlege @DFAC. They don't talk very much about injury status, not at all really. It's pure guesswork. It's too bad, Patera started slowly but was really finding his game when he twisted something contorting himself making a save early in the season.

A bit of a sandpaper grinding bottom six AHL winger who has activated tonight.

Not all his fault by any means but Pettersson has been on the ice for all four San Jose goals and he got caught puck watching there with three San Jose players behind him and only two other Abby players back.

Having a solid game and then he'll randomly just zone out for a few seconds not covering anyone in front of his net causing a critical goal against

I understand where you are coming from. But I don't think we should be worrying at Pettersson making mistake when he is 20 years old in his first pro season in the AHL. If he weren't making some mistakes he'd be in the NHL by now.

Also - weird how McWard is the guy who gets to QB PP1 and with the goalie pulled when the team has Kudryavtsev and Wolanin on the bench.
Doesn't have the puck poise to be that guy and handed SJ a shorthanded 2 on 1 almost leading to a goal against

That second goal was a quick shot from right in front of the net and he almost got it. But there were a couple of longer shots that he fought earlier which shouldn't have been troublesome. Hopefully he settles in a bit.

Lekkerimaki needs to start showing more in 5v5 play.

The AHL is not a skill league like the SHL or NHL, so he doesnt have the right C to set him up properly. Lekk will always look better in those leagues.
