Who is doing Abby's PBP? He's solo and doing a fantastic job. Sounds pretty young too, by interested in following his career. The Utica PBP in 2015 is now doing the PBP for the NYI.
His name is Brandon Astle, I think he's a local kid. He's seems to be yet another good pbp guy from the BC hockey announcer talent pool. He sort of emerged out of nowhere after they mercifully got rid of the awful Jason Cybulski who they were using early on after the move from Utica.

He's worth a follow on twitter X as well for Abby content.

I know that it's all about development, but it'd be handy if Abby could hold on for the win here, what with Colorado being one of the teams they're chasing in the standings.

I'm not following the team whatsoever.
So Blais and Karlsson never play...this Felcher kid looked ok in the exhibition season. How's Manny as a coach? Is Klim a prospect again?

Silovs needs to tune his game up.

More interested in the development of the young D. Is there a legit D man coming? Pretty much everyone pissed the bed on Chatfield....we need a double in the gap besides Wilander.
Karlsson just returned from missing 18 games tonight and he opened the scoring. Looks a little rusty understandibly. Blais and Di Giuseppe have also been hurt most of the year and are still out. I couldn't tell you why Silovs isn't playing tonight but Ty Young got the start tonight.

The two 20 year olde Pettersson and Kudryavtsev have turned some heads this year on the blueline. Both have exceeded expectations, especially Kudryavtsev.

Felton really is a good skater and very quick in getting the puck moved.

Pettersson - maybe the best he has looked all season in packing the puck up ice.

McWard having a good game. Plays like this and you begin to think there is something there.

Don't thnk Kudryavstev has looked as good in this one.

Wolanin looks a shadow of the player who won the top d-man a couple of years ago

Woo - skating is too helter skelter to have him control the play. Lots of rushing around. Is decent at this level, most of the time, but too many rough edges for him to have the smoothness necessary to step up to the next level IMO. Probably a lifer in the AHL but may end up being a half-decent one.

Penalty on Kambeitz was a dive. Colorado player should have gotten unsportsmanlike

Karlsson looks rusty (as expected) Aman setting him but Karlsson not converting

I, personally, would have had Demko on assignment and playing in this one. If he's OK to dress as a backup, he should be able to play in an AHL game. And he really should play a couple in Abby before playing in the NHL.

The boys played a solid game all the way through and took advantage of some Colorado gaffes and a couple of fortunate bounces. Rematch is 4pm Sunday.
