Dangle stumbled onto some kind of secret sauce and got internet famous. Its all an act. But it seems to work.. somehow.

I can't stand him or his gimmick

The guy is a douche.
I glance in once in a while to see what he has to say and honestly I can't tell the difference between when they lose or when they win the way he rants.
He makes most non leaf fans happy that they are not.

The reason I didn’t say WC1 is because there was no wildcard in the Canadian division at the time.

So to use the same language of seeding makes the comparable easier to understand for the reader.

8th seed meaning - last playoff spot
7th seed meaning - 2nd last playoff spot

If you say blew a lead to an 8th seed and a wc2 team you’re mixing up terminology. When you start the comparison with one unit of measurement you should stay consistent throughout the comparison.

I actually don’t think Montreal was even an 8th seed. I think technically they were 4th. But they finished 18th overall, and were the equivalent of an 8th seed. Same with Ottawa being equivalent to the 7th seed this year

Right, but under that old method of 1-8, Ottawa is actually a 6th seed.

But the 2 seed (Toronto) doesn’t play the 6th seed . So they’re the 7th seed

We are talking about seeding and brackets, not where someone finished in the conference

If you were to write out this year’s brackets and add a seed number from 1-8 in the eastern conference how would you number them that would make sense?

If you're doing a blend of old and new style,

I'd put the two division winners at 1 and 2, and then the 3-8 by points.

But isn't the goal to say that the Leafs lost to lesser teams...so wouldn't where they rank overall be more important?

They're 12th in the NHL. They're better than almost 2/3 of the NHL.

Yep. I called it before the series started.

Literally nobody paid any attention to Ottawa. All the media wanted to talk about was Tkachuk, Stutzle and Ullmark.

Even today, people are like "oh, yeah, I guess Sanderson pretty good, but leafs leafs leafs, core 4, ullmark, tkachuk".

He's putting the team on his back right now. Shades of 2017 Karlsson. He leads any skater in time on ice in this series by a huge Margin.

TOI/GP
27:21 Sanderson
24:42 Chabot
23:32 Zub
22:58 Marner
22:28 McCabe
Yes, Sandy, our secret weapon, ssshhhhhhh.

Yes I am, because I am comparing the seeding from two different playoffs with different divisions and different playoff rules.

That’s why I used a metric that was very easy for everyone to follow. 2 seed plays 7 seed and 1 seed plays 8 seed.

You’re trying really hard to not understand that 🤣🤷‍♀️

The seeding matters less than the points though. What point were you trying to make...that it's significant...why? Because of the quality of teams, no?

Does the core 4 mail it in, now that they know they have to play Florida in the second round? Does Brady to avoid playing his brother?

We'll find out tomorrow!

I think you're confusing Molson dry with Labatt 50.

Old people don't want higher alcohol percentage..they want a harsh beer, without the high alcohol...so they go with Labatt 50.

Molson dry is a minimal aftertaste higher percentage alcohol beer.

It was a go-to among high school/college/university students a decade ago before the rise of craft beers/IPA etc.

Before it was, do you want 4% Coors light, Bud light, or corona...do you want 5% Budweiser, blue, or Canadian, and then do you want 5.5-6% dry beers like Molson dry.

I've seen a lot of teenagers and young adults drink Molson dry, but almost never a 50+ year old drink Molson dry.

But take Labatt 50...I've never seen a young person drink it....only old people.

I think the beer you're thinking of is Labatt 50.
I have seen young people drink it. They even pronounced it fitty for some reason.
