Steve was in fine form after last night's debacle, I really enjoyed the LFR this morning.

Great story about Tucker, and how this current Leafs squad just cannot seem to find that extra gear. Ever.

Berube should invite Tucker into the locker room for a pre-game speech prior to game 6

Jokes apart, there have been 211 series where one team was up 3-0. The teams up 3-0 are 207-4. Statistically, the Leafs are pretty much guaranteed to win this series. Relax, Leafs fans, you’ll make it.

Flip flop, floppity flop.

I loved that.....couple games back, Stolarz beat the crap out of Grieg for invading his crease. Leafs fans loved it, and hey, goalie's gotta defend his turf.

Last night, Ullmark does the exact same to Marner and the fans just LOST it, booing like crazy.

Not a bad idea but I reckon some of them might tune him out.

Man oh man. The Leafs needed to have that game.

Now we have a situation where game 6 might actually be game 7 in a sense. If Ottawa wins Thursday, the pressure on Toronto will be truly unfathomable. I’m struggling to think of anything comparable in professional sports to be honest.

Saying stuff like "when we win tomorrow", you have to expect some blowback on that when the team fails yet again. :help:

Look at Brady Tkachuk, after Game 4 there's a clip of him saying "we'll be back" and you know damn well that that quote would've been thrown at his face by swarms of Leafs fans had their team actually won last night.

I hadn't said a word, fans were already talking about this before any games in the series were played. Anyways, I am outta here. See y'all tomorrow

All chirps are fair, this leafs team hasn’t earned the benefit of the doubt

But leaf fans are gonna cheer for their team

Massive upgrades I don’t see.
it doesn’t matter who you have winning.

McCabe-Tanev are one of the best shutdown pairs in the league. Any novice fan knows that.

And Rielly, Carlo, OEL and Benoit rounding out the top 6?

You don’t think a massive upgrade over previous years for the Leafs?

But it's now 3 games to 2, you can't go back to 3 -0 and that record. Now it's how many teams have come back from down 3 - 2. I'm sure the odds are a little different not to mention the momentum has shifted. It's anyone's series now with a slight advantage to Toronto.

Massively upgraded blueline, much better coach, two solid goalies… this team looked awesome down the stretch and got up to a 3-0 lead.

I’m the end though, what will be talked about is the same total lack of scoring when it matters. They just have to win 1 of the next 2 but considering they’re 1-13 in elimination games, who knows.

Good thing Matthews made a few pouty faces and a massive giveaway or we wouldn’t have noticed him at all. He is the biggest problem on this team. His heart is as bad as his hairline

Massively upgraded blue line is a total myth. The only improvement in this team has been the goaltending. Our goal differential is -20-30 worse than it was 2, 3, 4 and 5 years ago with this much better coach, defense and goaltending. No, it’s a worse team that plays worse with better goalies. Every single stat points to this directly but the numbskulls were fooled again.

Tucker played with a separated shoulder after the Alfredsson hit. Sundin played with a fractured ankle the same playoffs. Neither guy made any excuses and no one made any excuses for them. You need to be a warrior for NHL playoff hockey. I don't want excuses, I want wins.

I said it from the start. Leaf fans had the most unwarranted arrogance coming into this series acting like they're this big juggernaut, and that winning this series was a formality. Non stop shit talking from leafs fans on the main boards. Where are they now?

Here's an idea: when your team has a history of repeated playoff choking, don't be so cocky.

We have a series now.

I think you make the mistake of doing the opposite: The Sens haven't won anything either.

And if the Leafs come out and play great on Thursday and win in 6 (and by no means am I even suggesting that's likely - see my post right above yours - but it can happen), then were Leafs fans wrong? The team had one clunker out of 6.

And given how almost every series has had back-and-forth momentum it should be a surprise to no one that this series would too.

Lastly, in regards to arrogance - yes, it's called trash talking. This is a message board where fans of all teams come together and have at it. It's part of the playoff experience. And I'd just suggest that while some here are pretty serious about it I believe for most it's just a fun part of it. And those of us cheering Leafs (mostly) are aware that all that arrogance will come back and bite us. Probably again this year.

Cheers, and enjoy the next 2 games 🍻

The Sens are not 0-3 anymore, that statistic is completely irrelevant now. What you want are the probabilities of a 2-3 team to win a series.

I've seen many people use that on social media, do you guys even middle school math?
