Series Talk: [A1] Toronto Maple Leafs vs [WC1] Ottawa Senators | Part II (TOR lead 3-1)

Chris Stevenson on ottawa radio just said it's the loudest he's ever heard that Arena in Toronto last night.

I don’t know what these guys talking about the crowd are on about at all. That was a great crowd last night and it came through on the broadcast as well.

100% loved the crowd last night

Brady Tkachuk was either nervous as hell, or he's not really close to 100%.

That's not the Tkachuk anyone expected.

If he was healthy he would have played more than 2 periods before the end of the season.

We will find out what's been plaguing him when its all said and done.

Such weird arguments by Sens fans. Complaining about refs, yet had almost 50 more powerplays during the regular season than the Leafs and were 1st in the NHL for powerplay opportunities by a large margin. Maybe don’t cross check and board guys?

He lost his crown to Matthews :(

You guys can keep saying that, but I think it’s safe to say the Leafs have never been known as the team that embellishes/dives.

Their opponents this series however are known league wide for flopping.

They flop no more or less then any other team, and definitely much less than Toronto chokes. It's such a ridiculous narrative that everyone hangs onto because of baby Gallagher

The Four Nations was a lot more competitive than expected. It was fun to watch, but it did appear to cause )or exacerbate) injuries to several players while knocking the stuffing out of others. Olympics next season will do even worse.

You said 'That was a clear 2 minute penalty and Tavares milked it' - it was reduced to 2 minutes, so your comment was irrelevant. Didn't feel like my comment was that complicated.

When I respond to a post saying it was a clear 5, it's relevant. Not hard to understand

This puppy going 7 leaf fans are too smug right now. They have short term memory loss of their playoff record.
Plenty of Leafs fans have been saying that there's plenty of hockey to be played and we're well aware that the series could go long, as this team has never had a series go less than 6 games (the Columbus series going the distance too but shorter). Some Sens fans are just crying all over themselves with terrible narratives and we're calling it out.

If Toronto *chokes* against every team except yours that means:

A) you believe Toronto is a better team than Stanley cup winning Tampa and Florida and a better team than a record setting Boston bruins

B) If they don’t choke against the senators, what the hell is wrong with your team?

Bottom line, it’s a lot like calling a girl in highschool out for dating men … just not you lmao

We are smug (well, I am!) and we won’t let it go until the series is actually over. Come out onto the ice and beat our team. I don’t think the sens have it in them.

Leaf fans have been through hell, we know what the stakes are here

He played like he typically does, he just didn’t get to bully the Leafs D because they’re built different. If you contain his physicality, it’s easy to keep him off the scoresheet.
