I hope they separate McDrai again after this game.
While Stu got it done when it matters the other goalie had the better game...but who cares, a win is a win.

Why would you want to separate them?

When they are together they absolutely roll the other team almost every shift.

McD was also kinda slumping without Drai.

We are also getting secondary scoring now.

Knobby is doing a good job right now of putting them together and splitting them up periodically

The best team in the NHL for months. Don't change a thing

I really want to go back on the main boards and find the couple idiots that said, the Oilers are washed up and we won't do anything. When we played our first seven games.

They were such experts that knew everything
Main boards? Hell, a bunch of our own posters were saying that on here at the beginning of the year lol "Slow, oldest team in the league...etc".

This team is a WAGON

Well, I'd change one thing.

Give Jeff Skinner a real run. Not sure what else he has to do here.

Change his last name to Hopkins…

If you have that much space....do you try and trade for Dylan Cozens?
No. The space is fine this year- but next year Draisaitl and Bouchard’s new deals kick in- MacDavid’s the year after. Having a 7M player fit in will be tough. I also think they will try to move Kane in the offseason

If you asked me that a couple weeks ago, I would have said no for sure. Having said that, with the cap going up to 97M, you might actually be able to afford another 7M player. This would allow for the Oilers to keep McDrai together. Definitely something I would consider.

Previously, I would have said that money was almost a lock for defense and/or goaltending.

Now I'm not as sold.

Fair, that's sort of where my head was as well, but it would give them some damned interesting options.

Ok I'll say the name we probably would be all on board with, if Arvidsson is down for a while, like LTIR while, go get Ryan O'Reilly.

If Kane comes back healthy and plays like he did in previous years I don't see it. He's great value at 5mil for what he offers when healthy.

What I like is how the coaches have been able to get looks at numerous forward lines and defense pairing without sacrificing wins. It should bode well in the playoffs when reshuffling is a requirement.

It's a unique strength of this roster, especially when you have several forwards that can play wing and centre. Not many teams can shuffle lines and have several different line combinations that can contribute, and part of that comes from having 2 superstars and a roster that has mostly been together for several years now. There's a lot of familiarity between players.

This is especially a weapon in the playoffs when there's tons of pre-scouting and game planning.

He’s only had 1 good year. Everyone seems to think he will be that same player that he was in year 1- that player is never coming back.

Solid game by the boys, other than a shakey first 1/2 pf the first period, and Skinner sucked but team bailed him out at the end and he had to make a few saves. McKinnon with 2 more empty netters, and Mr. (I want 14 million) Rantenan was invisible.

Caught up to Vegas who just a few weeks ago had a 6 point lead over us
No quite, still 2 points behind. If we can go on a 10 game winning streak, we should be able to catch them.:D

Still on your "get rid of Kane" rant I see.

So thought they were toast after being down 3-0.
I had to score board watch the game. Saw they were down 3-0 and thought well... We'll see what happens. I didn't really feel dreadfully worried for some reason. Sure enough they come back and win. This is a very good Oilers team.
