A rep for the company that installed the stadium’s roof, Geiger Engineers, did not return messages from NBC News seeking comment Thursday. A rep on Friday said the firm would not discuss the matter.

However in an interview with The New York Times, a top Geiger Engineers official appeared to shift blame for the roof’s destruction to the stadium owners and operators.

That roof was “well past its intended service life,” Geiger Engineers principal David Campbell told the newspaper. The Trop’s roofing fabric has a lifespan of 25 years, he said. Tropicana Field opened to the public in 1990 and still had its original roof.

I'm instantly turned off when any TV show pulls that shit of making you think a character is dead and then a little later oops, they were alive the entire time. It's so dumb and never works.

What is the HFLightning album of the year? I'm having a really tough time deciding between the brand new Fit for an Autopsy album and the Knocked Loose album.

The Red Horizon is such a powerful song that it's got to be my AOTY.

Should mascots get into the 'talking button' viral craze, or is that too weird?

I haven't seen it on social media (yet), but it would reconceptualize mascots in a weird way. The buttons are more about the humans filming them, who think their pets (learners?) not only have a strong grasp of the English language, but can think in abstract terms.

I feel that the angle would be to essentially turntables. The mascot, as we know, has a human level of understanding, is literate (literally), so the buttons keep getting willfully misinterpreted by others.

I am just now watching the final season of Prison Break, because I only watched the first four when they first came out.

Is this series telling me these guys sail from Yemen to Greece through the Suez in 12 hours in a small fishing boat? Yeah, sure.

RE:Scam is a New Zealand website where you forward your scam e-mails, and they use a bot to waste their time. I've got an old e-mail address that got rumbled some time ago, so I get maybe one or two scams a week.
