He’s an idiot. And I’ll tell him to his face if I’m ever unfortunate enough to meet him.
Can he be both?

Yeah, but look a Vegas! Look at Utah!Somebody in the media needs to push back hard, but it won't happen except for Felger and KPD.
KPD was blunt in the Sunday Globe as Charlie keeps harping that we value championships, but they have ONE Cup in 50 years

Bruins are desperate for a retooling, but Charlie Jacobs has elected to go with status quo in the front office - The Boston Globe
If you thought sweeping change was in order, it’s going to be Cam Neely and Don Sweeney or bust.www.bostonglobe.com
With my own eyes, I have seen the Cup won on Boston ice 6 times, and only once was it the Bruins.
The four US Surviving Six teams all missed the playoffs, which is astonishing.

Hey, it worked pretty well there for awhile,He was not off, but I don't like his idea of new marketers and perhaps new scouts. They obviously need new scouts, but the last thing they need is a Red Sox style bureaucracy.
Expect what you have received, and will continue to receive going forward.I believe CHB once described Boston sports fans this way:
(Note: this might have evolved a little since the ‘90s)
*Celtics fans won’t let you copy their homework.
*Red Sox fans will let you copy their homework.
*Bruins fans will just take your homework.
*Patriots fans will take your homework, cheat off it, and still get it wrong.
To the point about “getting” the fanbase, I’ll give Jeremy Jacobs a sliver of respect by pointing out that he never once pretended to “get” us or pass himself off as some pillar of the community. Charlie comes across as nothing but a phony. He tries to be slick, but falls flat every time. Especially when he talks about accountability. I’ve discovered that the people who yak most about accountability know the least about it themselves. Charlie is great at blaming everyone but himself when it comes to winning. I’m sure Charlie Jacobs is a very smart man and has forgotten more about business than I will ever know, but when it comes to accountability, he’s spineless.
Cam Neely has no excuse for not understanding the fanbase. I expect a lot more from him.
When Burns shuffles off from Buffalo at long last, two scenarios leap to mind. The nastiest pushback will come from the fans when the passing of Jeremy Jacobs is announced before a Bruins game and a deafening chorus of boos shakes the foundation of the Garden during the moment of silence and video tribute.
Charlie must think we’re all morons.
My first reaction to that letter is to push away from the Bruins and spend my time and money elsewhere. I’m already doing that because I’ve probably watched 3 games from start to finish all season, and didn’t attend a single game this season for the first time in several years. I’m starting to think that my spike in activity on this board is out of anger. Yes, some of it is excitement at the prospect of a new and talented high-end player coming in June, but that’s not all of it.
And that’s not counting Stanley Cup losses in other cities.
Gary Bettman must be delighted.
"A fishWell we shall see where we are this time next year. I just think nothing really changes until changes are made at the top…..
When do the rich and entitled emerge from their perfectly climate controlled bubble to breathe the same air as the great unwashed? What's so funny about it? He's so out of touch with the fans (who pay the bills as @Aussie Bruin said in his post) it isn't funny. If he knew what we think and how we feel it might change his perspective to a certain extent. He needs to get out of his bubble and take a good look around.
I think its ok for fans to want the guy who meddles in his GMs job when he should stay the f*** out of it and the GM who seems to consistently leave top six forwards and top four dmen on the board to pick the next trade bait that's attached to a first round pick to trade for the kind of player he could have drafted in the first place to be fired. especially when they've been doing it for 10+ years now.Sounds like you think Bruins fans know more about how the team should be run than people that make their living in hockey.
If that's the case, I won't argue with you.
Then, why write the letter?Thank you. Though it wasn't intentional.
Not really.
Why should what the fans and/or media think about firing Sweeney and/or Neely matter to him. He should know a lot more about what is going on with the organization than they do.
