It's about assembling a roster of competent players. This Sabres team has zero competent top 6 centers and zero competent RHD. Mittlestadt was at least competent and you traded him for something you didn't need. Every move is difference maker. You have to actually build a team with a goal in mind. The Sabres repeatedly throw a bunch of players on the ice and call it a team season after season. If you can't see this after a decade maybe hockey isn't for you

Not sure why Lindy gets a pass here. He assured us after loss 4 it was his job to keep this thing from snowballing. Games are somewhat close. Maybe he was never the right guy for this job. Every time the announcers tell me "Tage Thompson is on the ice" ( as if it means something big...), I want to take a drink.

I'm done with Thompson. He's as 1 dimensional and totally predictable as can be.

Empty Buffalo net and the players on the ice just throw the puck around like controlling play means nothing.......

Thompson is an unstoppable force until that first injury of the year hits him, and then he becomes a husk. And he gets injured every year so.. yeah, I agree with you. He's 1 dimensional right now.

Yes. There's something deeper at hand that has this FRANCHISE in a deeper depth of incompetence, dysfunction and disintegration.

GM for sure. I’d love to see Lindy as president of hockey operations so he has a role because he’s not the problem but he’s getting older and he doesn’t deserve this crap from KA.

KA may go down as worst GM ever. But I supposed that’s what happens when you have literally 0 experience and get 1 of 32 jobs in the world.

Mitts is fitting in well with his new team although he still goes thru his drought periods where the playmaking he excels at goes south.

BUT, there is one hell of an experienced supporting cast to provide support and his droughts are a lot shorter now.

He's on the top PP and his current linemates are Nichushkin and Colton. Both have SC rings on their fingers.

If I'm Lindy the NEXT game I quit on the spot at the post game presser. Tell KA and Pegula to f*** themselves on the way out. In the next week go on Spitting Chicklets or something of note and spill everything. All the incompetency, no details spared. Pegula won't do anything, so force the league to step in and force him to do something due to the bad PR. He would be a martyr and I would believe he'd be for it. Probably doesn't want to coach again, but he want's to save the franchise. He cares about this.

I will never cheer against the Sabres but they have demoralized me. They have broken my spirit and my love for the game. I should not care as much as I did and that caring is now involuntarily going the way of the dodo bird . I had hoped to see a Stanley Cup in my lifetime but at my age and the makeup of this team my hope will no doubt never come to fulfilment.
