A good (or great) run for the Canadiens

What has flipped the switch after them being dong water?

Is Laine carrying them? Does Hutsom need Norris votes?

Are they better/more talented than the Sabres or Senators?

The Carrier acquisition has been the biggest boost tbh as it has solidified the defensive pairings.

It has enabled Guhle to play on his natural side at LD, and they both form the Habs shutdown line, being deployed almost exclusively in defensive situation allowing MSL to use the Hutson-Matheson pair in more advantageous situations, especially offensively.

Laine coming back and having a massive impact on the PP with his goalscoring has also been great, but he's been injured for the past few games and the team still kept winning.

Got an OT point against a red hot team who went WCF the last two season on a back to back is still quite good. And we got them to shootout.
Means it doesn't count against Laine's record setting win streak since the game went to overtime.

Am I doing it right?

Yup! You are correct! To be able to compare current NHL players' win streaks to the older win streaks, the shootout is not counted. I.e. a tie after overtime is a tie, i.e. does not count for or against the win streak.

Considering that overtime was added to the NHL in 1921, a win or a loss in OT will count in the win streaks.

Laine's win streak thus currently remains at 6.

He wasn't injured, he had the flu. Important difference before other fans jump on that.

I feel like Laine coming back and having that PP goal streak maybe brought some much needed energy to the locker room. But on ice he hasn't really been a difference maker so far. This team could take off if Laine gets back to his point production from Columbus (on even strength). So far it's pretty much been all PP production.

We have a Hutson

Honestly, I've never taught about it that way

I feel like I'm a 4 or 5 /10 in english, and always have been intimidated to pick up spanish because of it

Maybe I'll have to give it a go sometime

5/10? Give yourself a little more credit. You make less mistakes than many native speakers. I'd be willing to bet that at least 1/3 of americans get their your/you're wrong.

1) Carrier acquisition allowing St Louis to pair a vet and young men together
math / hutson guhle / carrier savard / xhekaj

2) a proper backup (Dobes) ...primeau couldn't stop a beachball

3) Laine - when he's playing (just came back from 3 game injury) has turned PP into a weapon + he solidifies a 2nd line so all the offence isn't on suzuki, caufield and slaf

4) vets- Anderson, Gallagher, Armia and Evans all playing quite well

5) dach seems to be getting healthier - 4 goals in his last 7 games

Nah. We have palm trees

So does Ethiopia.

It'll be funny if the Pens stumble in bassakwards.

No way would Kyle Dubas let that happen.

Masculine and Feminine ain't easy to get and it ain't intuitive unless you have spent a lot of time around french people

Try German, they also have Neuter.

What we have in spades that they don't have is depth in every position (aside of center, we are one Suzuki away of going back to the bottom of the league)

That is Iron man, first line center, Nick Suzuki, for you.

Stop jinxing guys.

There just hasn't been a new rule to break :dunno:

Maybe just have Benn face-punch the opposing goalie.

Still more recent than the Habs or any other Canadian team.

Never would've won it without Carbonneau, Keane, Skrudland and Ludwig.

Hah, well we have palm trees banned, so.. we’re told we’re the happiest fanbase on earth. Also Pegula wants to be known as “dear leader”, shit’s weird, but I’m super happy for all the Habs success and whatever

Hey man I really want the Sabres to win it too now that the Caps and Blues have. Your town deserves it.

Only 4 Canadians based threads on the main page?

We'll try to do better amigo.

Last game he was pretty physical and also quite noticeable.

Mirabel hotel was demolished, along with the airport.

But the botanical garden is a great place to visit, especially in the summer as it is both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor portion is pretty big. Golfcourse big.

Mirabel was destroyed? I thought it was still being used for cargo since Dorval is just too damn small.

Also isn't the Montreal Botanical Gardens like the 2nd biggest in the world? At least it used to be.

A good deal of the airport is gone. There was a massive rubble pile from the demolished parts, for years you could see it when passing on the 50.

I have no idea where the BG syands internationally. Asia has some pretty big ones too.
