What a strange yet exciting game. It started to feel like every shot taken was going to go in on the Senators, but I'm sure Kings fans felt similarly. Didn't seem like they were playing poorly, just atrocious goaltending. Nice resilience to come through, but it's clear this team needs Ullmark back asap and might have to go hunting for a better backup at some point. As bad as Sogaard was, I'm glad Green pulled Forsberg when he did. We know Sogaard isn't helping this team, but Forsberg needs to be better, and fast, or gtfo for the next man up (that isn't Sogaard).

How does a guy who scored 2 goals, got in a fight defending a teammate and who seemed to have lots of jump in his game end up playing a single f***ing minute in the 3rd period?

People complaining about MacEwen not getting enough ice time was not on my bingo card today.
I believe in a meritocracy and guys playing well should get more ice time. If he does all that, as a 4th liner, and gets rewarded with 1 minute of ice time in a period, what’s the message you’re sending? Like, how often is he going like that? He’s feeling good, let him get out there and go hard on the forecheck. That’s the whole point of having a guy like that in your lineup.

Most goals MacEwan has ever scored in a season is 5. Was probably absolutely gassed from getting almost half of his career season high in a single game

Was there any announcement over the PA system at the game " welcome back DJ Smith former Sens coach"
I watched it on tv and I didn't see anything like that. I was just wondering if I missed it?

Zub is starting to get quite the list of injuries. Starting to think the organization might not be banking on him retaining his slot in another 3+ years.

As for the game.....for anyone who wasn't around for the 1980s, you just experienced 1980s goaltending and defensive breakdowns to a T. All that was missing was a bench-clearing brawl.

I both loved and hated that game.

There was mention in the main game thread of it from someone who was there (Pierre from Orleans maybe?) that it was mentioned and there was a mix of claps and boos

There was a segment I saw somewhere that mentioned he's always put for extra time after practice working on his shot with Alfie, and I wanna say Pinto? Seems like it paid off, lol.

Ok thanks I thought they would have but I wasn't sure.
Often they show it on the tv broadcast when they come back from a commercial break, but if they did I missed it.
