Is there one?

Is 6'7" all day long worth keeping?

His 0.878 SV% is killing this team.

He needs to stay in the AHL... for a very long time...my Dude...
Rest of the season at least, yes. I’d think this year’s experiment is over.

I still love the combo of skill and size. He’s young and not ready for the NHL yet and that’s ok.

Keep him in the AHL….sporadic starts like this in the beginning of a players career isn’t a recipe for success. Honestly should have started Murray against Columbus. We’d probably lose anyway, but Murray has been around the block.

22 year old 4th string goalie isn't NHL ready. Not surprising.

Seems like the decision has been made to keep developing him in the A

What else is there to say?

I like they gave him a shot but I think its back to Murray for at least a couple starts to see if he is really as bad as the last two games.

I have said all along I truly think of Murray as one of the very best 3rd string options in the league.
Big time experienced guy to sit on the bench and practice, and play once a week(ish).

Sign me up!!

There’s zero case for keeping him up at this point.

We have no idea what his upside will be but he needs to be developed properly and forgotten about till probably the 2026-27 season. Just let him build himself up on the Marlies for a couple of years.

He has some momentum right now. It would be foolish not to see if he can carry it up.

Anyone else getting Garrett Sparks vibes from Hildeby?

Sparks produced a 21-9, 2.16, and .922
and followed up with a 31-9, 1.79 with a .936 and a run as playoff MVP and Calder Cup champ

That first goal he gave up against Columbus would have been a save with an AHL shooter.

Murray must have been determined as expendable. He cannot be sent back to AHL, without waivers.
Hildeby was not the cause for last loss.
Murray has always disappointed the Leafs, never lived up to hype, has been ignored by other teams when available and dumped by others teams and was determined worthy by Dubas who everyone knows was a bad GM. I have never heard he is supportive of Woll, always needed more attention to keep him from being injured, but I have heard his personality is difficult.
What am I missing here...

I don’t think he’s a wild man like Sparks with all of his emotional ups and downs but more like a Jonas Gustavsson who is big, athletic but has gaps in his game and structure that are exploitable. He just needs to develop and see what he becomes, there are a lot of ingredients but you need time to put it together.

I thought he could be with the big club for 30 days cumulative without requiring waivers, or a certain amount of games played which he hasn't approached yet.

.910 career NHL save% and 2 cups pretty good for the 3rd string guy. Still just 30 years old.

Watch 1st goal last game .. i was sitting right behind net .. his movement to his right is unbalanced .. and he got himself way way way too low in stance .. 6ft7 getting beat over da shoulder .. i don't see much in this kid .. his agility is very poor and his positioning is also poor .. but he is still 6ft7

Yeh, he had a run...910 was a while back...he has sputtered for a number of years...for various reasons, I keep thinking we are looking for lightning in a bottle...but it feels desperate.
Maybe you are right on 30 days
