Nothing wrong with Marstrom’s game last night. Sutter’s stupid penalty is what cost the Nucks the game. Put the Canucks down 2 men to the team with the hottest power play.

Philadelphia can trade McKenna anytime they want. They could have traded him the day after claiming him
As to the op, Canucks don’t need a backup. We have demko and need to see if he’s the real deal or just a backup or nothing at all. Hence why we traded Nilsson
Good lord he's the backup now in the AHL?!
I just looked at his stats and somehow they look worse in the AHL than they did in the NHL....big oof on that contract

Cory Schneider’s AHL stats are even worse than Darlings I’m quite sure.
Ill make this easy for everyone, if you backup currently makes more than the one we traded 2.5m we aren’t interested! If your backup costs more than a waiver claim. We aren’t interested!
Someone just go into Philly and slap their GM and tell him just put McKenna back on waivers you jerks!

I think the reason McKenna has not been put on waivers, is because they are being extra cautious to make sure Stolarz is healthy. They can afford ro keep McKenna kicking around until Neuvirth and Elliott are healthy.
But at some point, the Flyers will be moving some goalies when they all become healthy.

I almost feel bad for McKenna at this point. He really shouldn’t have had to be put thru this. But yes I’m basically ok with waiting for you guys to just return our damn goalie!

McKenna has been getting a NHL contract when he really is not an NHL level goalie. I am sure he is quite happy to have hung on as long as he has this season.

canucks would be interested in an ahl starter for an ahl asset.
otherwise, i think the canucks are quite happy to have an excuse to have dipietro soaking up the nhl as an emergency call up. they want demko back for more games as soon as he is healthy. they will grab mckenna for utica if they can when philly is done with him.
