Who is Danielson playing on a line with most nights? It sucks we don’t have Hirose in GR anymore, I feel like he would be an ideal linemate for some of these young guys.

I am starting to get a little concerned when it comes to the conversion of scoring chances with Danielson. He didn’t bury his chances at a great rate in the W last year either, if we’re being honest.

But that said this is his first season in the AHL and he hasn’t even played a full season yet. From an eye test perspective I have never thought his shot was lacking.
Watson has been on his RW over 90% of games this year. LW has mostly been Snively, some of Soderblom, and has now been Shine for about a handful of games

Watson is not a good fit anymore, and hasn't been for 2 months IMO. Danielson can't carry around slow players unless they have the scoring touch of Corey Perry. Love what he's done for Elmer and Nate this year, but he needs to be with veterans like Snively and Dries. Shine works well with Danielson, has quick feet and hands and they work well in transition, backing off defenses. Mazur also works with Danielson much like Shine does and Mazur has even better scoring capability too

Danielson thankfully has shown an increasing willingness to shoot, especially in 2025, evidenced by 89 shots in 48 games. 44 shots in 17 games in 2025. He's shown an ability to get to high danger areas and around the net for his shot attempts. Unluckiness or bad finishing, whatever you wanna call it, has definitely plagued him. I've been pleased to see him shooting more and working in that side of his game

Re: Kasper and Danielson, at least my eye test. Last year in November/December I thought Marco looked almost invisible and Lombardi stood out more for me. Obviously he figured things out towards the end of the year, but in my viewings of Danielson so far I've noticed him every time on the ice, even when not scoring.

20 assists is pretty solid and shows he can be a playmaker. Needs to shoot more and needs to score more - I'm sure everyone agrees with that.

100%. I thought Kasper could be a bust when watching him play in the AHL (during his 'slump'). Everytime I watch Nate Danielson play, I think "man this kid is good!" He's a beast that has not been unleashed yet.

I'm betting Danielson carves out the better NHL career between he and Kasper. And I like Kasper now. A lot. I had my doubts about Kasper when watching him on the Griffins. I have no doubts about ND at all.

You can tell who are couch stat watchers and who are the people that actually goes to Griffins games.

Damn, that came off his stick with unreal pace

Nate has a really good shot, just as you watched in that video snippet. He has all the offensive tools to be a legit 2nd line center in the NHL someday.

Just like Larkin had to do when he was young, he will need to continue to work on his offense and keep improving. He's already elite defensively and has high hockey IQ.

I’ll never understand why people were down on Kasper last year. Even when the points were slower he looked like he should’ve been in the NHL. Such a complete game that he plays, all facets, tough kid.
