And they're only wearing 91 because they can't wear 19 or 9, which a lot of them, and probably many of us, grew up wearing.

19 is pretty good too. Backstrom, Johansen, Toews, Thornton

Maybe its something about the numbers 1 and 9 together.

I thought Marc Savard was considering retirement? How can he be owning the league while injured? :dunno:

You should change the title so it says #91's own the league. I thought this would be a discussion about dominant birth years. Was I ever let down.

Stamkos, Tavares, Seguin, Tarasenko... Nothing compares to 91!

Interesting to see whether any of these #91s end up edging Fedorov for the unofficial title of the best player to wear #91 in the NHL. Stamkos has had a pretty good start to his career but Fed's Hart and string of Cups aren't easy feats to beat. Then again, stating that Fedorov didn't quite reach his ceiling career-wise probably isn't being terribly bold. Tavares has to find another gear to get into the discussion while Seguin is definitely warming up.

Butch Goring was the OG #91. 4 Stanley Cups and could be the guy who started the whole Playoff Beard thing back in the day. :)

Meh, for me the original OGs
