I mean anything is possible but I’d say 2 years because of the amount of changes coming up this year.So cup not happening here anytime soon?I mean I have my doubts, but your usually very optimistic .

Let me add to Marchand’s quote: if he had a legit #1 center
Agree and he was looking okay with Minni until the surgerygotta resign him, even if he plays 40 games. Type of guy you want around the youth.
They really didn’t play very well in front of him in the playoffsThis is very true....still not sure why...?
Only problem with that is will Marchand still be aroundI mean anything is possible but I’d say 2 years because of the amount of changes coming up this year.
I think Marchy has at least two more seasons in him. They really didn’t play very well in front of him in the playoffs

At this point they need to just cut bait with DeBrusk. If he really wanted to be here, he would have already signed. He’s the only one so far today that wasn’t emphatic about staying in Boston. Trade him at the draft to get picks and be done with it
I think having him as a 13th forward is intriguing but given our cap space I'm hoping there is no roster spit available.Don't re-sign Maroon. Next to no upside with him.
Why would any team trade for him when they can get him for nothing?
Boiler plate breakup day answers.

That's a guy that wants another contract

Do they NEED to spend all that cap? Or should they try to take a slightly longer view and save some room for next year's FA class? Food for thought (for people who know more about that than I do)
True leader
I'd give him a year at league min. If he still sucks as much as he did then they can just waive him and be done with it.
I am willing to bet we are not near the cap in October. I don't think Sweeney wants a repeat of last year.Do they NEED to spend all that cap? Well I believe we had more injuries then that in the playoffs. If we didn't this run becomes even harder for me to swallow. If there were more injuries I like the idea of keeping them quiet. No need to give the list it just feels like excuses. I suppose if someone plays through a punctured lung it may be worth discussing anything less then that just let it go.
For example, I do not believe McAvoy was playing without serious injury/injuries. And I'm fine with not knowing for sure if I'm right or wrong.
