Thornton is still a damn good player, old horse or not.

It's actually quite fun to see him play a totally different role like he is. He is skating way more aggressively than he normally does since he is playing basically an energy line role.

When was the last time Russia beat Canada best on best? I'ts been a long time. Probably 2006 olympics and that team that canada chose was so awful it lead them to go from big tough greasers to smaller skilled tough players.

Ill admit that Zaitsev has been much better than Emelin in this game, both Emelin and Markov are having a TERRIBLE match. That being said you can't say Zaitsev has been better than either in the 3 matches before this.
