The refs have been bad so far. Weird penalties going both ways.

In terms of offensive talent, Russia is the only team on par with Canada with Ovechkin, Malkin, Tarasenko, Kucherov, Panarin, Kuznetsov, etc.

But their defense is brutal. Both on paper and in game performance. Why isnt Russia turning out elite defense men?
