I have seen that line playing less than I'd like. There are other "stars" that are just as useless as Ovechkin.

The problem isn't so much the Russian forwards, it's the defense. The defensemen can't make a good first pass to save their life.

He's made some very poor defensive reads which ended up having the Swedish side pinned in their zone. That said, he's had some decent shifts as well, but one would should expect more from him.

Yeah, so far it has been a clinical show. Russian forwards have had nothing to work with, they get no space whatsoever. And then they are great at the outlet pass as well to get the attack going.
