We will see how his game ages when his speed diminishesI'm guessing some guy named McDavid could do this. I mean he's doing everything else it seems like so why not.

He is basically solidifying his place in history.Three major milestones all bunched together. Top 10 in points. The ppg streak. 1000 assists coming soon.
Thats actually pretty incredible at his age. It’s worth mentioning he is going to set a career high in FOW, FO%, Hits, and Takeaways.
Already 8th all time in even-strength points, 4th in Hockey Reference’s era-adjusted all-time points, and top-10 all time in regular season + playoff scoring…with at least two seasons of runway left to go.7 points away from passing Esposito and getting into 10th all time
Insane productivity from Crosby.
Imagine if he wasn't hurt for some of his prime? He would already be near Mario Lemieux. and probably finish his career 2nd or 3rd all time.Fact he's doing this at 36 is so inspirational.
I hope he doesn't fall off a cliff over the next couple years, he could stay this good for a 3/4 years yet if age doesn't catch up.
Sid won't be able to tie Wayne. Most 80 point seasons in NHL history:

I think he had a real shot at it if not for the lockout and COVID year.Sid won't be able to tie Wayne.
Yeah that's the wild part. All the unlucky injuries during the peak years. Yet still accomplished what he has, even with many of his seasons during lower scoring averages.Man got crushed with bad luck of having seasons of 53, 41, 22, 36, and 41 games over the course of his peak productivity years. Makes the effort to get to where he is at now doubly impressive IMO - he doesn’t even need the unparalleled “what if” for his claim at the top-5 all-time, the empirical evidence speaks for itself.
Imagine if they didn't figure out what was wrong with his neck.Imagine if he wasn't hurt for some of his prime? He would already be near Mario Lemieux. and probably finish his career 2nd or 3rd all time.
Even more impressive when you consider the vast majority of those players had the benefit of playing in the 1980's where they compiled most of those seasons.
+ he's only 13G away from 600 goalsThree major milestones all bunched together. Top 10 in points. The ppg streak. 1000 assists coming soon.
Let's be real, it would take scoring dropping considerably or an extremely debilitating injury for him to drop below ppg even in his 30's. His production could be cut in half and he would still be close to ppg.We will see how his game ages when his speed diminishes
