[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

The last month, month and a half, we have played well and pretty consistent. We go into every game expecting to win and we have the confidence to do that.
Going into our last game, hopefully, we carry that momentum through the playoffs. You want to finish as high in the standings as possible.
We knew that if we lose this one, we could've slipped into a wild card spot if we don’t win our next one.
It was a big two points for us against a team that doesn’t have a lot to play for.
- Marc Staal

It was definitely a tough one to get going. The energy wasn’t really there.
It felt like they were trying to slow down the game a little bit, but the big thing here is to stay patient.
- Henrik Lundqvist

For some reason, it took us a while to get our legs and that’s when the goaltender needs to come up big.
That’s what Hank did, he permitted us to stay in the game, find a way to come back and win the game.
- Alain Vigneault

We shut them out the last time we played there. So there's some hope this time around. Woooo. Hoping Zucc goes full Frodo and pots his 20th.

Yes. I second that.

Go Rangers. With a win tonight, who are we most likely to meet in the first round?

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I feel like this is as good of a place to post this since we're playing the Habs. This thread is amazing. People were calling Sather a genius BEFORE they found out about McDonagh.

If slats could do this with brad Richards I will pray daily to him... Awful over paid player for a Norris trophy caliber d man.... But sadly most likely we'll see two good prospects in Tampa while MSL is retired.

What's funny is that thread title was never even edited to include the other players. I remember Rangers fans being excited about McDonagh, but still he was almost a throw in, considering the title wasn't even edited.

Honestly no matter how much u hate slats that trade was probably the greatest rip off in nhl history and it was in our favor so props must be given

They can't trade Richards. If he retires before his contract runs out, then we get hit with a cap penalty. The only way he's leaving this team is via an amnesty buyout.

"You suck.

Here's millions of dollars to leave."

Man, if that only worked out in real life..

Does anyone kno if they're showing live playoff games on nhl network? Cuz I don't get nhl network and I can't watch it on GCL when they do it on nhl network.

I'm interested to see what AV does with the lineup tonight. I sense he's a practical guy and will choose to rest a couple-few guys. I don't remember how Tortorella handled this kind of situation. As more of an emotional guy, I suspect he said 'all hands on deck' to keep momentum.

Losing Zucc or any other key player to injury would be a catastrophe. Let them rest and play the backups. This game means nothing anyway.

true. but there is a school of thought that would say you dont want to start being protective/tentative now. could lead to people playing 'safe' and maybe even going less-than-full-speed. which is when injuries actually happen more.
i'm not saying i advocate one way or another. just saying...

i'd definitely like to see haggarty though.

When did Loffen change his name to Killem Dafoe?

Anyway, win I guess. Zucc for 60!
