The reality is that Cronin is 100% coming back next season.
And it’s going to be another rough year IMO with a bad coaching staff and a lot of young guys still cutting their teeth.
I’m bullish about the year after next though. Let’s see if Verbeek can improve the roster

Why the F do you not put Leo and Cutter out there to start? Those kids deserve so much better. It sucks that Cronin will be back next season.

and our goalies will keep us afloat for a good chunk of the season, then when they start to come to Earth Pat will finally admit his mistake and fire Cronin but it'll be too late and we'll miss the playoffs again.

I normally don't get too worked up about coaches, like Boudreau annoyed me but I never hated him. Cronin annoys me but I don't hate the man. But Rich Clune, every time they say his name on the broadcast and I'm not expecting it I make a disgusted sound. I HATE that guy. He got a job by selling himself to PV through Cronin. He doesn't know how to do anything! He didn't score jack shit when he played, f***ing howdy-doody ass looking son of a bitch.

He’s under contract and the team “improved” by 21 points year over year. It doesn’t take a genius to glean that he’s likely to return and then can be canned mid season or next summer. Verbeek hired him too
Obviously stating 100% is me being cynical/exaggerating, but it’s like 85%-90% in reality

Well this season wasn't great but it felt good to rejoin you guys for GDTs and discussions about this team. Hope we can all celebrate a cleaning house of the coaching staff (minus the goalies coaches) very very soon.

Because I was told this man was at least receptive to the idea of analytics (actually looks like he's expanded the department), and those...well, let's just say they don't paint the best picture of Cronin's job performance.
