I don’t really have a huge problem playing Sorokin; when you can’t score it doesn’t matter all that much who you play in net. Yes, he marginally increases the chance of a win, but not by much. I also don’t think NHL players or GM’s for that matter would sit a healthy key player just to increase the chance of losing (resting for playoffs, sure). Pretty much every other eliminated team is playing their stars

I do, injury prevention. He already sat out due to an undisclosed injury recently, why push it?

Goddamnit I remember when he was wearing a #46 “Richard Park” era Reebok Isles jersey with a visor and curly flow.

Not a legend that will hang in the rafters but a true Islander (even though he left for TOR) who I assume will continue to live on LI for many years to come.

Hey, maybe he can parlay that TOR pit stop to help recruit Marner after they flame out in the playoffs?

I became a fan around the time we drafted Martin.

I watched him grow into the quintessential hockey enforcer, watched him get married, have kids... All while I grew more passionate and dedicated to the team (yall have no clue how often I have to justify my fandom to the swarms of habs, bruins, penguins, toronto fans here in Nova Scotia).

I am happy for him and his career. Proud he wore the orange blue and white.
