Brink getting scratched is a small look at why Torts sucks as a coach in 2024.

Brink is making a lot of mistakes right now, but the mistakes are coming from plays he's trying to create. You finally have him at a level of confidence where he's forcing the issue and you knock that confidence out at the knees by taking game ice away from him.

The only way he'll learn what he can and can't do on the ice is to actually be on the ice.

This isn't a guy who's dogging it every shift and needs to be held accountable for a lack of effort.
