Skjei looks completely anmoyed that ruff is coaching him. I was depressed at how all those faces on the bench are unfamiliar. Just doesnt feel or look like a rangers team. Looks like a bunch of annoyed kids and scrubs

I don't disagree.

Andersson and Chytil look like a good place to start. Smart hockey players tend to end up in the NHL in one way or another. Trading Stepan has left the Rangers a pretty "dumb" hockey team overall.

I'm ok with the Stepan trade but I do think we lack some of his elements.

But I think the bigger issue is we have a young GM that's starting to consider analytics, and a coach who at this point, literally coaches for poor analytics. He prefers it.

Think about who he's disciplined. Buchnevich and Kreider in the past. Stats guys.

Who has he leaned on? Girardi, Staal, Glass.

AV prefers being in his own zone. I can't fathom why, but it's the only explanation.

I disagree. You see Girardi was not liked by the internet, so when the Rangers traded for Smith and he played well for a short period, he was not only elite, but Gorton was a genius.
