Smith isn't as good as he was after the deadline and in the playoffs, but he's not as bad as he's been so far this season. He's a good #4 when he's on, but when he's not, he's Girardi levels of bad.

A guy I work with said the Rangers were unhappy with Smith because he showed up to camp out of shape. Has that been reported anywhere? I haven't read anything about it, but I've read a lot of complaints by fans in the GDTs about Smith struggling.
