I was told face offs were meaningless by somebody on here days ago. LOL. That would’ve been a good time to win one. And Howden has been given the longest leash ever. There is no way Barron isn’t better right this second than Howden.

True story

Howden does his job and creates a 50/50. It's up to the 4 other guys on the ice to win the puck there. Once again we lose a puck battle and it's in our own net. DeAngelo in no mans land instead of looking around for a threat.
Nah, Howden was off balance after the draw which is a big problem for him and then a savable deflection wasn't stopped. Give me Shesty for 5 in a row.

Any goalie not gonna put up Hasek numbers against us this season?

This team looks exasperated.

Tony looks like a neutered Jack Russell at the dog park.

Blackwell hurt?

LAF never stops moving his feet.

Kreider much more noticeable.

Nice grease from Brendan.

Despite looks real good. Need to take his eyes.

Faceoffs are a problem.

Disagree. Yes, he needs to be better, but Penguins are coming down the middle on a red carpet with velvet ropes on both sides.
Did you not watch the same goal I did? He had it covered and opened it back up. Tipped pucks are a big part of the game now. In order to be a top goalies you have to be able to handle them.

DeAngelo is on pace for 0 points and a -47 over 56 games:facepalm:

Making my life so difficult lol
I think that’s the stat line for most PP1 defenseman, no? I’ve heard he “drives” the offense. Or is it JJ’s fault....or Staal’s fault.....

let’s just blame it on bad ice....haven’t heard that one in a while....

I don't think they're "meaningless" per se but nobody is going to talk about the 50-70 faceoffs tonight that don't lead to a goal.

Let's say you win 60% of your faceoffs which would make you the best team in the league. You'll still lose up to 25 of them every night, any one of which could lead directly to a goal.

So again, not meaningless, but certainly doesn't tell you anything meaningful.

That second goal was horrible. I don’t care if it’s a deflection, he was there before the puck and if he just stays right it’s an easy save. Your goalie needs to stop goals like that that if you want to be any good.

I feel the Rangers should be up now going into the 2nd, but that’s hockey for you. Mika and Stome missed two glorious chances.

Time. Give it time. If it doesn’t get better, I’ll be right there with you. But he’s playing well imo.
