Tim Murray did okay on value in a vacuum (except for the Deslauriers, Fasching, McNabb trade). The problem is the players he brought in were bad culture fits. You can have a player or two like that. Not all of your veterans and your most promising prospects.

Seems like Wings and Sabres may be pretty close to a deal. Karmanos and Crowe being at Red Wings games and the AGM and head scout for Detroit in Buffalo seems like it could be fairly significant as well.
