It's funny how everyone expects Florida to just lie down and let the leafs own their asses
Florida is hungry .I look for Tkachuk to grab some headlines

My kids played up to junior b.loved every minute of it
Now 1 a social worker and is an analyst for a software company
So the sun does come up the next day lol
I have zero expectations. I'm secretly begging for them to just get this clown show over with. I won't watch another hockey game until fall and that's fine, par for the course.

Worst coach in Leafs History.

This guy says hello, and I say thank you for that.

Justin Williams said on Overdrive that when you’re down 3-0 and you look around the room everyone needs to believe.

Not happening with this group.

Do they go out without a fight or do they give us false hope? I guess it doesn’t really matter the result is the same.
You’re going to be able to tell right away if this team really has the heart to battle… just focus on Mitch and Matthews. If Mitch comes out anywhere near like he did on Sunday than you know these guys had their vacations already booked. It’s going to show a lot about this group how they come out tonight. A lot of jobs are on the line

Pete was given a very specific task and he executed it very well.

It’s like they forgot that they are good. There is no confidence. Or they think they are TOO good and they can just outskill teams? I don’t know. Just gotta believe a different team shows up tonight. Take care of tonight and we will see you Friday. Every game is an opportunity, I don’t get these guys. They are playing like they are out for a Sunday morning skate. You gotta seize the day!

Holy.

I'm starting to think Marner's horrible media rant and complete no show has some thing to do with being rested a game and not achieving the 100 point milestone. Throw in all the times he's redeemed himself and the trauma he still has from being car jacked around the same time last year... I kind of feel for the guy and love him as a player but wtf is going on in his head. This is emotion yes , this also a one way ticket to being labelled a problem.

If he purposely caved in a series to get back at someone or for not reaching a milestone what the FK was the point of it all.

Did Babcock mess with him that much??

Did he flip those puck over the glass on purpose????

Im not sure what to expect. Seems realistic that they put up a good effort and win but its also pretty reasonable to think they'll just roll over and die and go out pathetically

The most predictable thing is the leafs come out strong with tons of chances but no goals. Then Panthers score a weak one. We then see from the leafs body language that they give up. Then the wheels fall off and leafs lose in a blowout.

I predicted before the playoffs that the leafs will beat Tampa but then lose in embarrassing fashion in round 2. Then we'll have an entire summer debating/arguing if "getting over the first round hump" was enough to keep it all together. That's the "leafiest" thing that could happen. So that makes it pretty much inevitable.

Something's got to give.

The underdog Florida Panthers under coach Paul Maurice have won 6 straight games in the playoffs .. 3 straight against the record setting President's trophy Bruins in round #1 to hold of elimination and then 3 straight against the Leafs to put Toronto into a deep hole.

However you can't win them all and therefore Panthers are bound to lose, starting today.

But will they now lose 4 straight, that is going to be million dollar question we are about to find out. :crossfing

Show some heart

I'm not demanding a win but looking like you care your season could be finished tonight would help after that pitiful performance in game 3

Not a lot to ask but it's sad I'll take something that basic

this team has the roar of a hamster

I think tomorrow we get a Keefe dismissal, Shanahan resignation, and Dubas contract being allowed to expire.
 hamster

I don't think it will happen that quickly for Dubas and Shanahan.

Prediction: Woll stands on his head, but the Leafs lose 2-0 (last minute empty netter). The stats geeks will be mystified as the "expected" stats are great because the Leafs got lotsa shots from outside on the perimeter. The excuse makers will take that fact to say that we got GoALIeD by Bob.

This is the Leafs so there are so many things that could happen you couldn’t predict with another team.
They could come out flying and grab a 3-0 lead.
They could come out flying like you say but be unable to score.
They could not come out and be down 3-0.
They could battle back from that and tie it up. Win it in OT. Lose it in OT.
They could fall apart and get pumped 7-2.

You just never know with this core.
