I follow the Rangers because in 1991, my uncle got me a video game of the NHL and the first team I played with was the New York Rangers. 1 year later they got to the Conference finals and in 1994 I got to watch them win the Cup on Eurosport
The thing is... The first couple of years it doesn't mean that much because of the (weird) reason of following a team but later on, you start to get a real connection with the team and you get very carried away when they lose haha.
In 2012, we played the Capitals in the play-offs and 1 of the games went to OT. And then 2nd OT, and then 3rd OT! The game started at 1 AM and finished at 7:15 AM. I had to start work at 8:30 and I was exhausted but it was worth it! Weird how that works, huh?
Every season though, it feels like a new chance to get to that high point we got to 20 years ago. Every season I feel the same way, with the same amount of trust in the team. I just love hockey and the Rangers
