Games against the kings ought to be fun because of the rivalry but they're not because the kings play the absolute most boring style of hockey ever invented and also obstruct with no consequences like its 2002.

I had wondered why the Kings always leave luxury box 5 open and darkened on game nights. If you look closely, you can see the cloaked and masked figure of Jacques Lemaire skulking in the shadows of that box, gleefully rubbing his hands together every time a team loses the puck in the neutral zone. He actually goes down and whispers to Jim Hiller through the clubhouse bathroom mirror in between periods.

A faded glory hole, if you will.

After last night's heroics not sure what to expect tonight, they didn't have to really travel. All I know it's time to give more ES ice time to Cutter and Leo, they have earned it. They are truly becoming Full 200 foot players, and if we end up the season on a high, am happy.

Regardless of Cronin, he is not going anywhere net year and that is fine for now, but please address the PP this summer. It should not be this bad with all this talent.

Man, the Kings line-up keeps reminding me of how good they are at finding and developing defensive talent. Spence and Anderson were mid-rounders and they previously found Walker for free and Roy with a 7th rounder. All of them are top 4 dmen... very impressive. I'm glad they mistakenly traded away Faber or they would be absolutely stacked, haha.

That and they do a good job balancing skill while finding physical players.

Going to this game
Will be my third kings ducks game this season

Black friday game was even but we lost on a couple bad plays one by zegras

Was at the last game we won in shootout at staples. Did not deserve it but it felt good

Hoping we play well. Win would be nice really just want z and cutter to do well

If Gauthier gets 1 more goal and Killorn 2 more, this team will finish with 6 20 goal scorers. Quite a feat actually.

Yup. Instead of relying on the bottom-6 to produce offensively, why not help develop or construct the top-6 to produce more offensively. Blaming the bottom-6 six for lack of offense is kinda like benching a youth player for playing well. :sarcasm:

I have to assume that the way the last game ended was really exciting and hopefully that will carry over for the boys tonight.

I assume it because my dad, now 83, who has been saying "this f***in coach, he don't know what he's doing" for two years, texted me to talk about what an amazing game it was. If he's excited, then of course the team is, right?

It was an amazing finish and the team should be excited to not have folded after the Flames went up 3-1 with like five minutes left in the game, but have a roaring comeback. The game was shit before the last five minutes of the game and OT. There was a lot of individual effort for that comeback to happen. We could have lost the game in regulation if LaCombe wasn't puck aware in the last six seconds of the game.

We have had a lot of third period comebacks, include the 2-goal deficit against the NYR with about six minutes left in the game and won in OT a few weeks ago. Been there, done that.

Maybe it's just me, but I think Cronin probably loosens the defensive reins and lets our offensive guys be offensive when we're down by more than a goal late in the game b/c what else can he do? If not for our goalies keeping us in games, the opposing teams could have scored more goals and prevented any type of comeback. Again, maybe it's just me, I'm ecstatic for the moment, but grounded that we got lucky again. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Taking my dad and nephew to the VGK Seattle game tonight since the season is almost over. Part 2 of a birthday present for dad, part...I don't know 9 of trying to indoctrinate my 8 year old nephew to be a hockey fan.

But I'm gonna wear the Leo Vans I grabbed up that got delivered a couple days ago. Hoping they're lucky and we get more production from that duo but with LA's boring ass trap game, who knows?
