I don't. Price has "Conn Smythe run" written all over him. Plus I dont see Babcock not starting Howard, and if he hasn't gotten his **** together they loss in 5-6. Remember Detroit is having a lot of trouble 5 on 5, and playoff refs are notorious for 'let'em play' mentality. If Detroit is limited to 2-3 power plays a game I hate their chances. As for the streak? It's not much to hang your hat on. The NHL is the easiest league to make the playoffs in. If it were SCF appearances, or SC champ streak, yeah, great record, but lets be honest, this isn't MLB where very few teams make it.

At this point, and barring Tampa or Montreal imploding and Detroit surging, their current position, or any wild card position is the worst possible position to be in. As it stands there is no possible match up that a betting person would go with Detroit on, meaning that they are likely to be first round fodder and have a 20th round draft pick to show for it. They are better off long term just imploding and getting a top 14 pick than they are getting bounced by Tampa in 5 games.

Montreal's offense is as lackluster as ours. Montreal has the better goaltender and defense, but they play a more defensive minded system because of their inability to score goals. Sure we will have to beat price, but I would bet on our offense getting hot at the right time over our defense learning to be functional in what three weeks?

Other people have chimed in with how I feel about the streak issue. Seeing as the next closest team has what, 10? And theyre about to miss the playoffs? Gotta count for something.
