This times a thousand. He faced 20+ shots that period, and the majority of them were ridiculous quality. RIDICULOUS. The Dallas period is one of the best periods I can remember him playing as a Ranger. And that says a lot.

I do think, since January, that he is arguably been our best player during this long stretch (only other player you can make an argument for is McDonagh, and that's really it). Guy gets way too much flack IMO.

Seeing that girl in the Wild alternate jersey, just gave me chills. Kuemper just gives her his stick (no, not like that).

Also, those alternate Wild jerseys are awesome!

He gets called out when he has a bad game or lets in a softy. He also gets high praise when he as a great game. Like he is having now.

He has been inconsistent. He is in God mode so far today.

There are very few Flyers fans, at least realistic fans, who see Couturier as a definite first line centre. If he ends up being a steady 2nd line centre with his elite defensive ability, I will be ecstatic.

And regardless, after this year he will have a whopping 2.5 seasons under his belt. Hardly enough time to pass judgement or pump up your prediction

Couturier and Voracek for Carter. We take that all day
 
Wish Staal would get back to normal. People rant about Girardi's lack of poise with the puck, but at this point I just assume every time Staal has the puck that he's either going to turn it over or make a bad panicked pass that our guy can't control and subsequently turns over. It's infuriating.

He's been inconsistent.

But, for the first half, he was consistently mediocre. Second half, he's been consistently good.

I don't think it's a stretch to say that he's been consistently rock solid for the Rangers for the last 2-3 months.

Just like I don't think it's a stretch to say he was poor for the first 2-3 months.
