Cates and Poehling starting OT is some 3D coaching you guys just don't understand . Maybe some day you guys will get up to speed .

NYR fan comes in peace. As an outsider I think your team has some impressive looking offensive players. Koneckny, Farabe, and Tibbet all look legit. Never heard of a couple of your guys that looked good as well.
THERE CAN BE NO PEACE BETWEEN OUR PEOPLES!!!

Guys, fellas it's real easy once you think about it. In order to win in OT you gotta score a goal and John will be damned if he will let his team win by filling the net. That's why he sends out the hard working players first. It's a culture win
Saw the article on BSH about shaw discussing why Poehling was out to begin OT. Some paraphrased quotes but essentially it was "he's been our best 2-way fwd for the past couple months" and "he's earned it". Told you guys it was about try hard culture crap

A theory that every single coach embraced while here. I wonder if there are any common denominators?
"Common dumbnominators"

Shaw's fill-in post-game comment about Poehling having earned the OT start due to his steady two-way play over the past couple of months tells us all we need to know about player evaluation and tunnel vision on "playing the right way". The more things change ...

I've always kind of liked the Rangers tbh. They have nice uniforms.

I didn't say I was a fan, but consider:

- They play right there in mid-town Manhatten, not in a huge parking lot near a bunch of oil refineries
- Their arena is not named for a bank, or an airline, or a soft drink, or an insurance company, etc...
- They DO have nice kits
- Finally, they hate the Flyers. Just like everyone here.

I hate them a whisker less than the Pens, and in some ways more. At least when we lose to the Pens I can point to the generational talents they have. Rags seem to be a thorn in our side no matter their roster or coach. And I hate their goalie chants. Tippett scoring in the middle of IGOR! IGOR! was the highlight of the game for me.
