OEL just showed McDonag what was up. One of the best defense men in the NHL and will be for a long time.

Nothing questionable about it. Deflected off of McDonaghs stick top corner. Not every short side high goal is a bad goal. That always give zero credit to the shooter. Sometimes you just need to give the other team props. I hate NEVER giving credit to the shooter.

It wasn't really an amazing shot. It was deflected by McD at the point of the shot. McD played it well, too. Had him to the outside. That's a save that needs to be made.

Smith playing like it's shutout time. Makes sense - pre-game ceremony to honor our goaltender and we're at home. That has loss written all over it.

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who doesn't care for Zucc getting in the middle of scrums

It's not that people want him to get into scrums, it's that people love that he shows a little emotion and don't play scared.

Seriously? It was deflected... Do you know how hard it is to save a shot like that? Never mind that it was deflected which makes it that much harder..

Not every deflection is the same. There's a massive difference between that one and your normal in front of the net late misdirection. That deflection gave the goalie plenty of time to react to it and he still got beat.

Only 1 more than McDonagh.

Had nothing to do with McDonagh. Why do we always need to prop McDonagh? We get it, he is good.

I feel like every time McDonagh gets brought up, Rangers fans need to elevate him with all of the other defense men in the NHL.

In regards to OEL, I'm not sure if I'd say McDonagh is better than him or Yandle. I think they're all in the same tier.

We are starting to talk about McDonagh as if he is a 4x Norris finalist.

I could tell you've never played goalie in your life.. Maybe never even hockey at all..

Horrible. We can't even get the puck out. Horrible. Can't even stall their entry. This game is just bad. Classic Carolina let down type game that they'll want back; 7 minutes into the game.

Man, I wish I really knew who you were so I could invite you to the local rink, bring down a few guys I know and make you strap on my goalie gear and see what its like to actually face shots.

I truly think you would have a new appreciation for what its actually like to play goal, and face shots.

He's clearly better than Yandle. I don't really think it's all that close. I'd certainly rank him above OEL as well, but that's a closer comparison.
