  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

We should definitely hijack this thread pregame to talk about pizza.

I'll check out Terra Mia tonight, @TheStuntman

Anyone else have any good recommendations in the OC area?

YES! I need more pizza suggestions in my life! I'm also not a hater that says one type is better than another, it's just the style I'm in for. Like if I want Chicago style it's Rance's in Costa Mesa, Hand-tossed Pizza it's First Class in Irvine/Woodbridge and for woodfire style, Pizza 900 in Lake Forest. MORE PIZZA!!!!

If you want Chicago style deep dish, Tony's Little Italy in Placentia is where I go. Not sure what actual people from Chicago think. Since it's deep dish, it'll take at least an hour to make, so keep that in mind.
I ate Tony's as a kid and it made me dislike deep dish pizza. When I finally made it out to Chicago and had the real thing, I was blown away.

I like Two Saucy Broads a lot, although not really close to Honda Center.

I still hate Pizza Hut…

Unfortunate to hear. Two Saucy Broads sounds cool, I'll check it out.

Raised in Chicago. Rance’s is the only thing that I’ve had out here that is worth calling Chicago style.
I'll check out Rance's. Thanks for the recommendation.

It's not near the Honda Center. but I love the pizza at Cortina's pizzeria on Orange Ave. Lots of cops and firefighters go there. They make great sandwiches, too.

I love Tony's. I have a friend from Chicago and another from the Midwest who spent a lot of time there and both have said that Tony's is excellent and as close as you'll find around here to authentic Chicago style deepdish.

I highly recommend it.

brewery x does a surprisingly good NY style pizza. there's also a spot in santa ana called loosie's that was a great NY style

riip in hb does a great detroit style, but their NY style pizzas are excellent as well

for deep dish tony's > rance's. tony passed away a few years back but he was as chicago as they come. been going there since i first moved out here and it's still great after all these years
