GDT: #71 | Flyers at Stars | Saturday, March 22, 2025 | 2:00 PM Weird Time | NBCSP

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
First period had nothing.

This was a mostly nothing period where the Flyers had a handful of positive moments and happened to bury two good scoring opportunities.

Lulled Dallas to sleep.

Thinking of all of the defensemen who fit Drysdale's archetype, is there a single one who was less skilled/talented?

He's played better over the last 20+ games, but I still struggle to see him taking a spot on any decent team.
There is offensive skill in his toolkit. He could be a legitimate 2nd/3rd pair defenseman if he improves his defensive positioning and ability to read and react appropriately in the defensive zone.

I've said it before, though: I think he closer to being out of the league than being a contributor on a playoff team. He's a worse version of Tony DeAngelo right now.

There's some skill there, but for a small defenseman who is bad defensively? I can't think of any that fit that mold that are less skilled than him.

His shot is a muffin, he's not a dynamic skater, his passing and stickhandling are mediocre. I think DeAngelo is far above him everywhere here.

Very typical.
