GDT: #70 | Flyers at Caps | Thursday, March 20, 2025 | 7:00 PM | NBCSP

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
He scored the Cup winning OT goal for Hershey last summer. He's a solid fourth line guy in the AHL and has some underrated hands- he scored a penalty shot goal last year and gets put in the shootout lineup every now and then. He's slow as all hell though. Actually scored last night, lol.
Yeah, I remember the talk about him being slow and generally a subpar skater. In today's NHL that's probably the kiss of death for any prospect that isn't elite in other aspects of the game.
But good for him that he seemingly found a home in the AHL.

Issue for the tank if Torts keeps TK and Michkov together though. What a moron for not finding a way to get them together more for months.

I honestly didn't like him at first. I called him Slug, lol. But he's grown into a useful depth player and PKer and is under AHL contract through next season. His lack of legs severely holds him back but he's well loved here. Obviously scoring a Cup-winning OT goal is gonna cement you in the fans' good graces for quite some time, lol.

My 4 take-aways from tonight..
1. Both Lycksell and to an extent, Pelletier looed god when playing up in the lne-up. Absolutely amazing what happens when you do not have to play with the ND's and Hathaway's of the world. Even mentioned by the announcers!
2. Flyers best play so far this season is the goal challenge (both for and against). Pretty pathetic when that "play" was +2 and the rest of the team was -2
3. Flyers are going to get credit again for playing hard, when, in fact, Washington stop playing after the second
4. It is going to be fun watching TK and Couturier next year making $16MM and playing like a hot pile of crap (plus whatever 30-year center they sing for 7/$9

why haven't we called up grebenkin? as I understand it since he signed his ELC at 21 the slide rule doesn't apply so no reason not to.

Went to the game last night and it was kind of a dud. Some of my closest friends had never been to a hockey game before and got box seats, which was cool and Ovi scored the goal in front of us but the Caps looked like they didn't give a shit for pretty much the entire game. Happy we lost and all that but it looked like a morning skate out there rather than two NHL teams facing off.

Still can't believe Konecny passed up a clear breakaway. I hope he's injured because I've been saying for several seasons now that he completely disappears in the last quarter of each year and it's why I was worried about the contract they gave him. $9 million a year to score 1 goal in your last 23 games sure is something.

I was up until 7am with a sick kid.

Every single game this season I have come away certain that extending Seeler was a mistake. I mean, I've always known that, but I know it more now
