A guy struggling to score is going to help us score somehow?
You know sometimes a change of scenery is good right? Your saying zegras will never go back to 65+ seasons ???

Doesnt have to be zegras but someone with high upside and hes obviously the one that comes to mind with all the rumours. I happen to think hes got a ppg potential in him. Last I checked the whole ducks team is a mess not just him

I am fine with acquiring skill, I think Zegras is too focused on fancy plays than being good and will ultimately be a frustrating player if acquired.

Zegras type deal ... someone who can have high upside and be a top 6 guy

Zegras has a lot of skill , now that hes under performing would be the time to make a deal not when it would cost an arm and a leg. We'll have plenty of energy 3rd line guys. He might even end up being a 4th liner

When he comes I hope hes better than we all think cause we need it . But when i see larkin raymond nygard danielson kasper buchelnikov finnie lombardi plante+potentially a top 10 pick this year +if we retain a debrincat longer +berggren Rasmussen + whoever else mazur can easily end up being on the 4th line someday
Zegras is a coach’s nightmare.

Can’t play defence and if he isn’t scoring he’s a complete liability.

Again I’ll re-articulate on the “professional stickhandler” because that’s all he is.

I think the team just has to be patient with the transition of the younger players who are almost ready to graduate. We shouldn’t be spending 1st round picks right now unless it’s on a real 2C, or try to make a move with a team like Ottawa or NYR who’s said to have been looking to shake up their core. Take advantage of a situation like that VS spending assets on one of the most overrated players I’ve seen in years (Zegras)

I said I wouldnt trade a top 10 pick in the next 2 drafts .

Yes we have to be patient with our prospects but nothing assures any of them will be anything significant. Zegras started his nhl career with back to back 60-65 pts ... hes struggling on a team as a whole are struggling(he scored a nice goal yesterday btw) ... I think theres a ppg player in there that we can use .. you dont that's fine

Last I checked debrincat and kane aren't these great 2 way forwards. We actually need to score goals to win so we need guys with actual offensive abilities to be on the team

And I dont know what you think you'll get out of ottawa or rangers ... but it's not happening
