lol..on a wing and a prayer...they gave him Domi's contract offer i bet..

I bet they offered Domi 5.5 for 7 years...he didn't bite....

Change the name and pass it to Andersen. 5.5 million in Montreal less the taxes....

I like the player, but holy shit this could bite us in the ass so hard.

7 years is ridiculous ands makes me worried with the upcoming Danault and Gallagher contracts.
Probably means Danault or Gallagher aren't in the long term plans.

i was expecting Wilson money...it's a million too much BUT he's gambling on him becoming an elite PF playing next to suzuki...
habs get ALL his prime years as a forward and if he hits those milestones of two years back, this contract is a huge bargain..
but yes, there are risks

It's not even a bargain assuming he plays up to his peak season to date...

And we have a guaranteed flat cap for the what, 2-3 next seasons I believe?

I get what makes Anderson a valuable asset, but we're talking about a guy with a 47 points career high and no other 40+ points season. Moreover, he has yet to play a single game for this team. This is just insane.

I wouldn't have given that contract to Gallagher, and Gallagher will be paid more than Anderson I would think. That's just...

We either have an excellent read on Anderson's health and potential or Bergevin just got bend over by a threat of his pricey acquisition going UFA next offseason.

I mean, Domi and Anderson have the same agent. Didn't he know what to expect contract-wise before trading for him? Or he knew and was ok with this?
