Let me know if I got any wrong, or if I missed any. @Cup you can copy and paste this into the OP/draft order if you like for future maintenance.

Trivia:
  • There have been 41 (!) trades through 13 picks, this draft would drag on into all hours of the night
  • The UFA rights to Mike Green and JVR got more in trades than the UFA rights to John Tavares
  • The Devils and Rangers went from never making a trade since the Devils' inception, to making 3 in the span of about 4 months (2 of which involving Michael Grabner)
  • 2018 1sts have changed hands 19 times in this draft alone

Confirmed! Would like to thank CGY for smooth negotiation and would like to welcome two good prospects, Dillon Dube and Adam Fox, to the organization!

The Flames organization wishes the best of luck to the Panthers organization and hope to deal together again :) we hope to see Ang succeed just as much as Dube and Fox.

This is why Islanders fans need to control the Islanders in mock drafts.

You realize you could have just resigned Tavares, right?

I don't think you get to call "yikes" on anyone else's trades.

I don’t think Tavares is going back to the Islanders. Also, I believe he will hit the open market so I tried to keep it realistic. Could I have gotten a lot more? Obviously. I don’t see why anyone would give up more than a 3rd for 0.1% chance of getting him.

You got less for Tavares' UFA rights than Green or JVR. Don't take over the Islanders in a mock draft if you're committed to destroying the team and helping the Rangers, who you've been utterly humilated and fleeced by twice now.

Save that spot for an actual Islanders fan, or maybe even a non-Islanders fan who won't enter these things with a "Tavares is leaving anyway and nobody's giving up more than a 3rd for him" attitude.

Dude, this is a mock draft where people can have fun and do whatever they want. If they want to trade every player on the roster for picks, let them! If they want to build the best team possible, let them! If they want to be a quiet GM and make no trades and just pick their draft picks, let them!

This is meant to be fun and just because you don't like a how your team is managed doesn't mean you get to openly criticize the GM. If you don't like it, sign up yourself and manage the team how you want but don't come on to the mock and slam GM's for the trades they make.

Like it or not, this is a game. People on this website who post horrible trade proposals get criticized, this is no different. Go ahead and propose Tavares to the Rangers for a 3rd on the trade forums and see how it goes over.

Now go compliment him some more until he "lets you" trade him Staal for Barzal.
