This year? He has 1.78 GAA and .933 sv %. He might have sucked, and might suck in the future but he's played pretty well so far in this short season.

DeSmith was tanking at the end of last year. Many people were clamoring for him when Jarry was aborting the NYI series, but I don't know if the result would have been much better. For the Penguins not to sure up the goalie position with at least more competition for Jarry in the offseason was very, very dumb.

I remember our very flawed high-paid winger who, despite his deficiencies, could produce on his own. The Penguins got rid of him. Now they have some small child getting paid $6 million and not doing much of anything out there.
